I hope it will be good. I can't deal with another mediocre Halo campaign.

It's 'Gamescom' but yes you're right in that far more people attend it

Sometimes old games are more popular than newer games on PC.

It's the most popular (right now) single player game on Steam according to the player count stats https://store.steampowered....

Seeing as they strategically made the better than any PC SSD performance just before PCIE4 SSDs were released I doubt it, have they repeated the comment since? PC has since got 5GB/s read / write speeds. It's certainly possible that they will optimise further than what we already got with PCIE4 but I doubt it would be dramatic and I doubt it will hit the performance that custom RAID IO orientated servers (PCs) hit.

This reminds me of the PS3 super computer claims.

@mopground sure, it has been before but not for the past 800,000 years. We are past 400 ppm now and the rate of increase is way past what we have seen before. We all know these events have happened before but we've never seen data that shows warming occurring this quickly. If you have then I would like to see it.

That's blatantly false, the whole notion of a greenhouse effect is based on the Sun. The sun sends us light, it hits the earth, earth is colder than the sun and radiates it at longer wavelengths, these longer wavelengths are absorbed by the atmosphere.

It's a necessary part of life on earth. It's what keeps us warm.

Now you have two obvious choices for why we are getting warmer, more energy is arriving from the sun or less energy is leaving. ...

I have both base consoles on my desk and I wish one of them was as quiet as the other, when you are a few inches away from the things it can become an issue even if you are wearing headphones. In some games it really does sound like a jet turbine.

Larger fans that run at lower RPMs is how my PC achieves both cool and quiet, I'm happy sacrificing a little bit of space to get a big fan in there.

Bonus points to either manufacturer if they add easily re...

Why? As a PC gamer I am enjoying playing Xbox games. I'm still paying for them and Microsoft still gets my money. What's wrong with Xbox being a multi-platform brand? It could appeal to more developers as the Xbox brand will always be much bigger user base if it includes PC gamers too and everyone benefits from more developer support.

PC has got issues on specific games where people actually use in game communication but in most games people just type or don't communicate at all. I've noticed valve games are pretty bad when it comes to that sort of behavior.

They said it's a completely new engine unlike Overwatch 2 which is just an upgraded engine.

You're allowed to both like and criticize a game. I struggled to get into the last of us at first as I found it hard to place much weight in all the perfect reviews with zero criticism. Glad I did though as I thoroughly enjoyed the game but some people like me just see overly positive or overly negative articles as fluff.

I guess we're just a bit more cynical.

I think the last games I pre-ordered were Witcher 2 and Witcher 3 but I knew for sure these were going to be games I would enjoy. I don't think I am missing out on anything but occasionally getting burnt by not pre-ordering games. Most pre-order incentives these days are lame.

Yer but if you don't have to spend a few extra hundred to play 1 or 2 games you want on a console then it becomes value. This gen on PS4 I have played Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne which were both amazing and soon I'll also pick up the last of us part 2. When it's not your main gaming device then you spend a lot of money for the few games you don't want to miss out on.

I try to understand other peoples points of view, I have one question. What the hell are you on about? At least some of the other deniers try and enter a scientific debate but you're just taking shots at a bunch of children that have nothing to do with the article.

Nuclear is just really expensive compared to other renewables per MWh in my part of the world. We are currently building one new nuclear plant and will be paying the energy company double the tariff per MWh that we pay for solar and wind.

@ndonnine How do you get accurate PC sales charts? Retail wise it can be done the same way as getting the console figures, digitally I have no idea how you get that data from all of the storefronts.

This is probably true, PC gaming has grown by 200 - 300% over the last 7 years or so according to steam stats, I doubt the influx in new people have the same ideas as the old PC gamers who have been here since the very beginning. Seemingly a lot of this growth came from China however and a lot of it seems to be centered on online multiplayer titles so I am not sure how much of this applies to games that aren't PUBG for example.

@SmielmaN If you want to read more from NASA then here is their data on global temperatures https://climate.nasa.gov/vi... As you can see 18 of the 19 warmest years have occurred in the last 18 years. Climate change at it's simplest just means an increase in temperature averages, with scientists trying to model what this means for us, the environment and wildlife.
