They will probably support both on PC anyway so it's only really an issue for first party devs. Not to mention Sony could abstract all of this out in their input APIs. Even if Sony didn't want to bother doing the API abstraction layer, the game engines would as they already have input abstraction layers.
I highly doubt this has any technical reasoning behind it, it's purely financial.
I mean if a PC gamer hasn't already done that to get the game then they probably don't think it is worth the cost of the console or they don't want the additional hassle of a console and are more comfortable playing the games on PC, the real question is "Is this a big enough group of people to make it profitable for Sony to release these games on PC?" to which the answer is probably yes. There are a lot of PC gamers and most games are published to PC as well as consoles....

It's not businesses job to educate the public, it's their job to make as much money as possible and if they see something that provides them nothing but has a small risk attached to it due to a minor number of people using it as a symbol of hate and an unknown number of people now associating it with hate then they will minimise the risk.
It's not the first symbol to be co-opted by a hateful group, swastikas are taboo in Europe due to the events of the holocaust and world war 2, in Asia however it is still a symbol of luck, peace and prosperity. At the end of the day it's a business decision for these companies, do they want to use these symbols in markets that have these hateful groups co-opting them or is it safer to just ignore these symbols despite there original positive meanings.

Turning off DLSS gets you lower framerates, it's an AI up-scaling algorithm that takes a lower res image and up scales it while also trying to keep the image temporally stable.
