In my opinion, the sound is Halo. It's one of those games that is instantly recognizable by it's soundtrack.

Yes but everyone benefits so it remains an even playing field. It doesn't really matter so much with games that have skill based match making as if you can't hit your shots nor can your enemies, if you can then they can.

Neither input is super ideal for racing games though I do agree controller is better, wheel and pedals is the way to go. Just like a HOTAS + Head Tracker is the way to go for flight simulators.

It just takes a while to get used to it, you lose the skill if you don't do it for a while as well. I am completely useless at FPS with a controller now as I don't play those games with that input but I would probably get better after a few months.

Wow now this is some proper N4G exclusive nonsense.

I understand the complaint from the game developers perspective, especially for lower budget indie titles as it could reduce the risk on a project if you didn't have to sell as many copies to turn a profit but I really dislike how the companies bringing forward these lawsuits are pretending that they are fighting for the consumer, there was no cut in prices when games went predominately digital on PC even though the returns were better and I doubt it will be the case this time but they ke...

That might make sense if you mention a game that has microtransactions instead...

"Dark Alliance is also blessedly absent of any shady monetization schemes. The game costs $39.99. There are no micro-transactions whatsoever. Developed by Wizards of the Coast-owned studio Tuque Games, the game is currently just that: A game that you purchase and play with no expectations of future DLC beyond the Echoes of the Blood War expansion—or any sort of “game-as-service” support o...

@Outsiders Microsoft has never made profit on Xbox hardware. They want people in on their games and services regardless of platform, supporting PC for example. As games / services is where the money is. I'm sure Microsoft would be more than happy to release all Zenimax games on gamepass to PS5.

@wintersun At the very least look at my comment history, if you have to shove me into a war camp I am firmly on team PC. I'm just stating ramping up demand when supply constrained doesn't generate sales out of thin air. Consoles have to exist for them to be sold.

I don't get how my comments can be seen as me defending Xbox. If you think my economics are faulty then let me know.

"Exclusives are the reason for the companies to sell their console. Why do you think Ms bought Zenimax in the first place."

I've read this back a few times and still have no clue what point you are trying to make. Companies buy other companies in order to make more money, excluding customers generally means you will make less money on that game. Exclusives very rarely outsell multiplatform games.

@Sonic No I think you are the one who isn't reading. Driving demand for something that is already completely supply constrained cannot lead to more sales. It's impossible to sell more than you can make. What's hard to understand about that?

Edit: This was a response to Sonics original comment but now it makes no sense due to the edit.

On the Zenimax purchase, I'm not of the opinion that nobody buys a console for exclusives, it definitely d...

In normal times I might agree, although I think you overvalue exclusives, A lot of people I know just buy consoles to play call of duty or sport games but does any of this even matter when consoles are so supply constrained. How does releasing more exclusives help sell a sold out system?

Game of the year is a popularity contest for the most part, it's really rare for niche titles to win the award.

Yes, the games are good, very atmospheric, especially if you play with the HUD turned off although learning the controls is a bit of a pain when you do this. The books are also worth reading if you like the game.

@lodossrage That's Xbox Live Gold not Gamepass, they are two different services. Thundercat said “No wonder why Xbox tried to raise gamepass price.”

Origins was the best one, 2 was awful and Inquisition was ok

Yer I would love to see a PC release of Bloodborne and Demon Souls, Bloodborne was the only reason I bought a PS4 and it made up for the price alone.

The amount of stuff put correctly in recycling bins that isn't actually recycled is a problem too, we need to actually recycle our trash instead of throwing it in a landfill or incinerating it.

They probably just artificially limits the max bandwidth they use when any game is in session so as to not interfere with multiplayer titles. Steam automatically pauses downloads as soon as you launch a game for the same reason.
