Mostly due to no price drop.
You are correct, and that is a damn scary thought. Just like Apple's model on everything they sell. If that were to take place their hardware will forever be two generations behind in power.
Thing is, if they did release a package with the items you want it'd still be the same price or even more. They do not care about entering in at a fair price, and considering the hardware issues it just shows the quality of the build is cheap. Profit, Nintendos main concern. If it wasn't for their 1party games they'd be dead.
"Nintendo has done a genius job at making consoles for selling Nintendo games"
Exactly. I've been saying this for years. I see them as a AAA software developer thats dedicated to their new game idea. While developing that idea if they come to a conclusion that the current hardware they're developing on in some way limits their ability to realize their vision then they'll release new hardware that fits their games agenda. Their attitude toward 3rd part...
@neonridr
You are correct Sony did do the same thing with the TLOU and I say the same thing to them too. "Its only worth it for those who have not experienced it yet, otherwise it should be half the price of a brand new game at best."
Im right there with you, my GOTY.
While I do believe that Zelda has done some things right, I prefer Horizon and I believe that ultimately a gamers personal preference is what will cause them to gravitate towards one or the other. I was turned off by the weapons breaking in Zelda, I hate it, it takes me out of the game. Yes, I know there are a ton of other weapon drops but I still hate it. I hate managing limited inventory slots for crappy weapons. I hate the stamina gauge, I don't want to cook recipes to apply temporary...

Im right there with you. Complaining about backwards compatibiliy??? Retarded.
I will always prefer physical when it comes to console. On PC I primarily buy through Steam so either way is fine although if they had physical I'd go that route. The idea that the lack of an internet connection for whatever reason would keep me from playing my purchased games is always at the forefront of my mind so give me a disc please.
Hell yes!
I mostly agree. I would call them my really talented "junkie kid" who might stand a chance of changing their ways if it wasn't for their even more addicted junkie friends (nintendos fanbase) who enable them to arrogantly continue to make the same mistakes. I have come to the realization that Nintendo as a corporate company hit a milestone when they made the very profitable Wii and that entire launch strategy is now their go to strategy from here on. I will never see Zelda on nex...
Still a contender for best Zelda game to me as well. Its the first one I played and it was awesome.
Welcome to the club. Anyone who doesn't see the benefit has not seen the right game or movie yet in person. 4K UHD is an awesome step up. Managed to get a Samsung TV during black Friday and I do not regret it at all, and yes 1080p upscaled has me watching old blurays that I didnt even think I'd touch again.
One of the main reasons I did not purchase the Switch. They could of done so much to at least address the issue of leaving their supporters in the dust for the last 2 consoles.
While that would be nice, if they announced part 1 and only part 1 running in a new engine that'd be enough for me. It's still my favorite one single player wise.
Easily. Superb experience.
Thank you sir. Smartest comment in the whole forum.
You have to take into consideration that the Scorpio will make the present library look a lot better visually, there will be a 4K UHD player in the unit, and there is certainly something MS will announce that will showcase the systems abilities. A lot of people have not been exposed to how amazing 4K visuals are movies and games but once that catches on the systems advantages will be more apparent. Not saying everyone will automatically bite but those are some considerable bullet points.
Totally agree. Their greed is completely obvious. Low-level, low powered "next-gen" consoles for the last 3 iterations.
