There is plenty of 4K content, I've been indulging for all of 2017. Console gaming might not have native 4K but the upscaled is definitely suitable and on my PC my 1080 handles 4K easily and it ran me $570. Lesser series gpus can do the same and they run $450-480 especially if one catches a sale which happens often. Those initial issues have been solved for at least a year now.
My game of the year. Love it. Haven't finished it yet but looking forward to.
BOTW lost me the moment I discovered weapons would break in less than 2 to 3 battles. I looked online to see if that would be the case for the entire game and saw that it was part of the games design. That killed it for me. I completed two towers and while it was fun, the weapon breaking was annoying. I returned to Horzion Zero Dawn.

You're forgetting Nintendo games are emualted on the PC and they run way better.
"Nintendo is onto something that no other company has caught onto yet."
Been on the same thing they have since the NES, nothing has changed except the hardware and presentation.
MS and Nintendo should go 3rd party. Especially Nintendo.
"I can't believe I have to defend an innocent IP like Mario."
And that says it all. This article is lunacy at its finest. Mario doesn't need to change because of selfish, paranoid, irrational nut jobs. The dumbest thing Ive ever read in my life. The day we start to discuss the effects of Mario misogyny is the day I find a new past time. She needs to get her head checked and dismiss herself from gaming altogether. Idiot.
Straight up Bullshit, yea, I said it. BS!!
That made me chuckle on the inside.
I am in the same boat. Single player has always been more my cup of tea. No time to invest in MP games like I used to. The older you get life demands more of your time.
Totally agree. I've been gaming for awhile now and my backlog status has been insurmountable for at least 6 to 8 years. Steam alone Im 196 games deep. Thats not counting console. I laugh when people complain about no new games because Im seriously at a point where I should've stopped buying new ones at least 5 years ago.

Best comment I've read on this site ever.
The best combo is a PC and a PS4.
Exactly. The enviroments are mixed with high and low res textures, bland enviroments, bad anti-aliasing, stiffly animated vehicles, Z-fighting appears on portions of the track, and where is the car damage? Not sure if I have to play at a higher difficulty for that or what. Its as if they had to sacrifice something for frame rate stability. No way, it looks better than Forza 7. Still a good game but nothing revolutionary, just another GT. Some might say the same applies to Forza but graphicall...
Brave Fencer Musashi. My favorite game on PS1. It actually did get a sequel of some sort on PS2 but they changed the style of the game. Anyway I still have my original copy. Loved that game.
True, but the Wii wasn't portable, and that's the draw that'll keep Nintendo averting death once again.
The PS5 should at least have BC with the PS4. Especially if the "incremental upgrade" model will be the standard for the industry. I actually really feel they should just make 2 skus one with and one without, give the consumer the option.
Spyro was definitely the better series for me.
Same here. Definitely a Playstation 1 generation thing in terms of little growing up with it and thinking it was impressive. Hated this series up until part 3 came out and Crash Team Racing was great as well. I hated PS1 1st gen games. Crash, Jumping Flash, Jet Moto, bleeggghhhh. 1st gen grainy low-polygon count 3D tripe as far as I was concerned, especially considering there was no analog control. The 1st 3D game to truly impress me in every category was Mario 64, everything was right.
Totally missed the opportunity to make something grand. Ever since the creation and the success of the Wii Nintendo has has never been the same. The Gamcube was the last powerful system created by them. Once they found out their IPs are so beloved that people would be willing to purchase gimmicky low end hardware at premium prices just to play those IPs things have never been the same. I've said it before Nintendo's motto back in the day was "Now you're playing with power&qu...
