After seeing what's happening to VII remake, none of them. They're perfect as they are.
Just a VII and IX style remaster for VIII will make me happy enough.
Hmmm... There's a few. The best AAA publisher in my opinion, has been Bethesda so far. No loot boxes, micros, tagged on multiplayer or bad DLC stuff in TEW2, Wolfenstein II and so on. Dishonoured 2nis a great game too, despite being from last year.
The only problem has been their paid mods fiasco for Fallout 4. But considering the repeated questionable actions of other publishers, it's minor.
Dependa how you look at it. They're dead for me since the death of MMOs where you had to be proactive with groups and guilds, communicating, trading, questing together and so on.
Nearly every one I've played since Warhammer Online has been typically a soloable affair, having to group in dungeons with randoms who are either greedy, elitist or ignorant and you can just rush through without a thought... Or getting killed by rushing because a team mate thinks he can sol...
That wasn't a mess up, it was a cold, calculated punt at trying to see how much customers were willing to be bent over for.
They got their answer, and it has had a worse effect than they expected. Serves them right for trying to make gamers out to be brainless cash dispensers.
They have single handedly (well, maybe with Take Two, Activision and 2K's greed) woken up the gamers who were falling into these traps.
I love Bloodborne... But please be Tenchu. Old style Tenchu, not the guff that was released in recent years.
No cheat vision, no overpowered skills, just recon, timing, item management and skill to beat the enemy.
It may beat PS2 if the price of 4K comes down quickly. I would imagine people who own PS4 already may upgrade to Pro more readily, if they can get a reasonably priced 4K TV to see what the fuss is about.
Aye, leave the ideas that have been split off in advance of release in the game and sell expansion packs like The Witcher 3 did if you have further plans.
Day one DLC is a shit show. Day 30 DLC is just adding insult to injury.
Glad Nier Automata won best soundtrack, it would have been an injustice if it was anything else.
Well done BotW... Not sure if it was deserved as I haven't played it, but hopefully getting a Switch soon to see.
Mmmm... Tenchu.
Hope From Software revive it properly at some point. No Batvision either, I like my ninja games to be recon and stealth, not cheating by being able to see through walls.
This looks mighty good too.
As far as I'm concerned, there's room for both. They both offer their own great IPs and are delivering on the exclusives well enough.
The handheld capabilities of the Switch just make it that bit different from home consoles.
2K are as bad with the lootboxes. Have you not seen NBA and WWE 2K18?
Okay... Then I suggest you play WWE 2K18. You don't have to like it, but please, play it for the sake of trying a game where lootboxes are present without microtransactions.
In WWE 2K18, you have a career mode where you create a character. That character starts the game severely handicapped against most of your opponents. The only way to upgrade him, cosmetically, his moveset and stats is to play through the mode, earning virtual currency and opening lootboxes.
...
Is it actually playable now? Have they fixed the story, made combat more interesting, added meaningful side quests, changed the shitty perk system to something more in depth, stopped the hunts from being a repetitive pain in the arse, added more summons, gagged Prompto, and fixed the unstable frame rates?
Another shill on the don't read list.
Crybabies? Really? What age are you, five?
If you see the username fallenangel1984 under an article, it's 99.9% possible that you're about to read absolute bollocks, on the same level as gamingbolt's tripe.
Just don't do it...
@GideoVames
Let's be clear here... Most MOBAs are free to play with monetised unlockables, either dependant on time or money to unlock. They have also never used the term 'games as a service' as far as I know.
What I deem GaaS, is exactly what I have typed above. The ideas that the AAA elite have been floating around, patenting and implementing in full priced games over the past few months to a sickening degree.
If you want ...
Then don't use clickbait headlines. I don't read articles like this, I respond to the headline itself.
Why should the headline be the polar opposite of your actual thoughts? This is why I hate journalism these days.
The answer to all these offended people that are still hanging on to a hobby that they are only doing so they can have attention by complaining...
Go and do something else, you obviously don't enjoy gaming like the rest of us.
Maybe go and watch My Little Pony, or learn to knit, or something that can't possibly trigger you.
Gaas = Online, multiplayer, DRM, microtransactions, DLC, possible lootboxes, trying to make gaming digital only (so pricing, licence duration and lack of customer rights can be controlled), one game to cover 4 years, badly made and probably patched constantly, map packs paid for, cosmetics paid for, reloads paid for, breathing paid for...
If you think that it's anything else, you haven't been paying attention to the developers using the term and the stuff they'v...
Well yeah, queens usually are female.
Still trying to make gaming out to be misogynist? That was so six months ago... Did you not get the memo that gamers are more interested in games than identity politics and misandry these days.
You already ruined Mass Effect, so everyone knows to avoid your type now.
