I agree with most people saying that this game does not matter. Heck I will not be one of those buying this game. But what all Sony fans should concern is the patern we are seeing on games being developed for the PS3 and XBox 360. The fact is that the PS3 are being left out when it comes to the online department. Developers don't want to go through the trouble of building their own network to support online for the PS3 which means Sony's Idea of online failed. Wait until you see the games rev...

Ohh wow, considering the fact that movies will not be produced at that res and game developer will not spending lots of money trying to push it for 1/10,000,000 that can aford the price tag. Why would this be news? Knowing Sony ofcourse they will start saying that 1080P is no longer true HD. and their fanboys will buy in to it.
Is it Kojima? Who ever it is it's all good. It's always good for some developers to be fanboys and act like 1st party developers or are bias against Microsoft for being American. I said it many times before, I will get a PS3 when Metal Gear or Final Fantasy comes out; thouse are the only 2 games that are worth $600. Ofcourse if Sony does not bring anything else (i.e. another Metal Gear or Final Fantasy) I would simple sell it for a lost once I beat the games. In need all the room I can get.

PC will never replace consoles. This guy focus only on functionality which is why he said what he says.
Consoles have 3 primary things that PC does not have.
1) Price, PC manufacturers will not save their hardware at a lost so you can play games. They don't receive royalties for software etc.
Try bulding a PC that comes close to perform as well as the XBox 360 or the PS3 and you will see yourself spending at least 2,000.
2) Compact, PC optimized for games are huge ...
Actually Jim, It was not that great when I had to pay $600 for a blu-ray drive to play this game in exchange for poor or none online support. But now that as proven by these developers blu-ray bring no benefits to most games such as this one. 1080P on DV9? How is that possible! ohh wow! And I though I had to pay $600 to play this game if I want 1080P while sacrificing on the xbox live features the PS3 will not have (i.e. game invite, global friends list, global scoreboard, achivements, etc). ...
Predictable, Sony fanboys are not complaining that this issue is going to be a thing of the past. Well, lots of developer are trying to close their eyes to that reality. At least EA can make their money with other consoles until the PS3 have a large enough installbase to have a Return of investment. What about games exclusive to the PS3? Those are the ones developers and publishers have to worry about. Notice: This can change by the time the game is released. I think this is the primary reason some games are being held back for at least 1 year (MGS, FF).

I agree with them since I am also a developer. Having extra space or having a system where you have more than what you need saves you from having to optimize your code or use compression technologies. I'm sure some developers will optimize their code but they are not required to. I just hope that developer take advantage of the extra space my adding more content to the games and not like they are doing now (using the extra space to store duplicates of games assets to improve the loading time ...
