Most people don't play online because they don't know what they are missing. Besides the DS is a mobile device, that most people (as myself) use while on the subway or the bus. I have an xbox 360 at home and an OK PC with fast internet connection. Technically you need wifi to play online which means you have to be at home and if I am home I will not play with the DS I rather play with my PC or over xbox live. Besides not all games have online support on the DS and there is no way to make new ...
Actually the so called "Lack of competition" was what was holding the 360 back. Now that the PS3 and the wii were released the 360 is doing better than before. Just look at the charts. Obviously people were waiting for all the things Sony promised. That's why Microsoft was so eager for Sony to released their console and show what they had. Now that people know things will only get better for the 360. Sony's best strategy was to delay the PS3 and hope that people would lose interest ...
Stop talking, since you make things for the xbox 360 even better than what they are. Yes, no one expect this in Japan.
As you sony fanboys said before the PS3 already sold more consoles than the 360 did in Japan in the first month. That said, what it's concerning is that Resistance (best PS3 game) is no where to be seem in that list. Heck not one PS3 game. Let's not forget this is Sony's home. LOL.
Now shut up! Or be slapped! One more word and you will see what I do ...
Well, the point you forgot to paste from my other comments is, xbox 360 gamers can make the investment (if interested) in the future while being able to jump into the games with only $400. with the PS3 you don't have a choice, period! Sony does not let you choose if you want to be part of the format war, instead they make you pay for it. When the PS2 was released it was top of the line technology with DVD playback(proven format) how much it was? $299. Now Sony is charging 2 times more for a f...
see my point? They are even happy and auto-convinced. Sony does not even need to spend money on advertising or convicing them to buy their product.
The only reason why the PS3 was delayed and it's so expensive is because of the blu-ray player which was designed primarily for movies not games. Blu-ray is a Sony propietary format, if blu-ray wins than Sony is set for life. trust me it's not love it's business.
This is bad since it slow down the adoption of a single format. Let get this over with and let one or both formats die!
When the PS3 gets near being released on more than 2 countries(japan and US) then you can speak, until them STFU.
It does not matter how much it cost. £425 is nothing to Sony fanboys they will buyt it even if sony price it at £600. Sony knows so they will try to make as much as possible from their fanbase. Smart move Sony! Obviously who ever is not a fanboy will wait until a price drop.
I would agree with you if I didn't have the 360 for over a year before the addon was released.
"So basically, you bought a 600 dollars console," uhh no. I bought a console for $400 1 year ago, and the HD-DVD $200 2 months ago. do you understand the words commning out of my mouth! Do you see the difference? uhhh one year apart? Also, I would like to point out that if HD-DVD dies I will simply use it to watch dvd movies since I never use my console drive to watch movies eve...
I respect your choosing about how you want things. And that's up to you. My mothers still keep her VHS. Now, ask yourself if some people (as yourself) are willing to continue to use CDs for music what do you think they will be so promt to jump into a new format with DVD are doing just fine. You see your arguments against digital distribution is that people like have the "IT" because they can touch it and feel it. But people also don't like paying more for things. This is like the cr...
ohh wow, how can this be? So, are we now suppost to expect less for more money?
Sales Rep: Welcome to gamestop how may I help you?
Customer: I want to buy a PS3 or a 360, which one is better?
Sell Rep: uhhh define better?
Customer: Well the console with the best graphics, best online service, most games... obviosly.
Sales Rep: Well, uhhh... all 3rd party games developed for both consoles look and play better on the 360...
So, you still get your music on CDs? You still use a CD player? Whether you download music illegally or buy them online; it's digital distribution.
I have an HD-DVD drive and the only reason why I do is because I already have an xbox 360 and paying $200 it was not that bad(great value), but I would never buy a stand alone hd-dvd drive or blu-ray drive. It's not worth it. at least for now. Unlike you Sony fanboys I'm not saying it's impossible for blu-ray or HD-DVD to win. Honesly I can care less which format wins since which ever format wins it will be very afortable (i.e. $100-$150) by the time it does. If the blu-ray and HD-DVD war ...
ohh look, Universal will get my money (rent in netflix). Blu-ray can have all the movies in the world, and I'll not spend $600 to watch movies and DVD are just fine. ohh wow, the PS3 has the movies and the 360 has the games. Too bad I will not buy a blu-ray player until the format war is over (blu-ray player less than $150).
Ok, Sony fanboys are aready reaching a dangerous level of desperation. When was the last time that a game published by Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft was later released on the direct competition console? If this game is going to come to the PS3 then expect Mario, Metroid, God of war, Halo, etc to all be cross-platform. ahhh ahahahhaa. sorry I had to.
Or maybe they are just trying to see if this game is worth taking into production considering the fact that Japanese people don't like FPS and it can only sell in the US. Also, it may not have online multiplayer and they may be waiting to see if Sony perform a miracle on the service.
Blu-ray... If it makes you feel good to hear that blu-ray won the format war than ok it already did. Too bad that's far from reality. The fact is that digital distribution is destined to take over convetional disk distribution.
How long did it take for DVD to replace VHS? Do you see yourself using a DISK 15 years from now? I bought the xbox 360 HD-DVD drive addon, and though I love it, I'm not trying to convince myself it will be around for long.
Saying that blu-ray will win is ...
Zzzzzzz
I was about to say they should simply come up with an OS that apeals to the masses more powerful and intuitive than microsoft's, come up with an OS designed for games (Something better than DirectX) and make it worthwhile for developers to protect their IP and sell their products.
The problem with linux it's not that it's not a great os, but that even among themselves there are disagreement on how things should be done. You can see this fact when counting how many versions of l...
Do people expect this game to continue selling #1 for ever? Eventually who ever want it will have it.
