SWORDF1SH to be honest I don't care who makes the game as long as it's good. I'm a racing fan so if the game is on PS3 or 360 I don't really care since I have both. What I meant was that PS3 fanboys seem to surprise to see 360 fanboys here trying to bash GT5 when they get the chance. I think it was expected, since Forza 3 got a lot of bashing. That's all.
But I think that on N4G I can't say anything against GT5 without getting a ton of disagrees! Well ...
You're right. When Forza came out, PS3 trolls were first ones to comment on every Forza articles. Saying that there was an embargo for the reviews because it would score low and all. And it was finaly released the reviews were good, they were bought by MS.
Anyways getting my copy on wednesday I'll judge myself to see if it's mesmerising, breath taking or whatever superlatives that was used. I hope it is but I don't think it'll be to the extent that people ...

judging games on scores alone. I play them myself as I will with GT5. But an average of 60+ reviews gives me a good idea of what a game can look and play like. Ok I'll admit that in these 60+ reviews some are not to be trusted but not the majority.

So it's hard to compare. As for the Meta score. I doubt that GT5 will be the highest rated game of all time. A racing sim! it would be a big surprise. So far GTA4 is the highest rated one and then Mario Galaxy 2. I strongly doubt that GT5 will get a better average then that. Let's say it get 95-96% average, it only 3-4% more than Forza. And Forza had 2 releases before 1 GT5 came out.

When a game is anounced for PS3 and is supposed to have "this" and "that" and do "this" and "that". But when it comes out they cut the things or they don't look impressive. And he's autistic. There are different levels of autism. my son has been diagnosed being lightly autistic. But if there's a way to interact and get into the "world" of an autistic child. Be it Kinect, Move, Wii, having a dog or whatever it is it's always a good thing. Sometime it's hard to imagine what it's like having a child like that. You're right about the core gamers not getting much love from Kinect. But I think MS is going after the casual market. I would say that Sony is targeting the same demogarafic with move so far. Except maybe a few hardcore games here and there. But, so far, the trend of motion controlled games lean towards casual. With mini-games collections and sport games.
As for the money invested in marketing. They will probably get more back than they invested. Which is what marketing ...

Is that I think the majority of people here on this site are younger than you and me. And don't always understand why electronics is not the top priority of people our age (which is the biggest segment for Blu-Ray buyers, like you said) who have families, kids, wife etc...

People don't seem to realise that not everybody is 15-20 years old. And have other priorities than watching movies on Blu-Ray. I've been working in retail sales for electronic equipement for the last 10 years (Lcd, Plasma, home theater, etc...). And cutomers are not really interested in Blu-Ray or 3D Blu-Ray.

When a video game journalist gives an xbox 360 product game a good score. The PS3 fanboys are the first to say that the score has been bought. So by fanboys logic the 360 doesn't deserve any scores it receives. Because, either it has been paid for or it's not from a legit site.

That's what I was thinking. In games like that you try to pass a guy for 1/2 a lap. And when you fall about 1 km behind him you can catch him within the same lap?!?!?! It just doesn't make sense.
Anyways I'll see on the 24th if there's a setting to adjust that part of the game. Anyone else finds that the intro video of the game and all the replays we saw so far are much more exciting than the gameplay itself. Just my opinion...
