The weather effects look great... I hope they keep the "sunny" weather as bright as the screen shots... Which wasn't good in F1 2010 imo.

You forgot somme key elements in while trying to make your point...
The most important reason GT5 scored low on reviews, was because it took so long to develop and in the end it was 20% new and 80% recycled from previous GT games... And since you're such a racing driver yourself and knows how racecars are supposed to handle... Would you please scan your super liscense and post it here! The word "simulation" is thrown left and right by peop...
It's funny how a site becomes irrelevant after they give a PS3 exclusive a bad score... Or a Multiplat a good one... I wonder how many sites are still relevant!!! Even Meta which compiles, like 90 reviews for a game is not relevant anymore...

Everybody here are always quick to jump to conclusions. That everything taht is not PS3 or Xbox related is not good or don't stand a chance... The Wii was the same and look what happend. It might not be the most hardcore console but it's stil the most successful one!
I'm pretty sure that good devs know what to do when they get a new toy to play with and they'll have brillant odeas for it!

Maybe because I'm older cough41cough... But, to me, Vice City is still the best GTA out there. The atmosphere of the game and all references of the 80's.... I just couldn't stop playing... But, in general they do make very good games!

TBH they should've left it on the shelves instead of putting THIS game out! I rented it, played it for maybe an hour, and I've had enough!
It's funny that a lot of people seem to think that MS is after our money while Sony is after our happiness as gamers. And if they could they would give us everything for free!

Just a question here. Have any of you guys ever thaught that when a developper goes multi it might be MS or SONY that are hard to deal with and don't always keep their promises... I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't always the developper that is responsible for those situations....
But, let's keep in mind that companies (even in gaming developpement) exist to make money, not to loose any...

@Sitris you're talking about GTA4. If I remember correctly everybody were comparing this game to San Andreas and Vice City. And Mario Galaxy 2 was always compared to the 1st one or Mario 64. It's the same for Halo, Zelda, God of War, etc... And it's ok that way.
To me, when someone reviews a game from a franchise he should, at least, know what the other games are about. To hav...

Comparasion are inevitable when you review a 4th (or 5th if you count confrontation) game in a franchise. So how can this be taken seriously from someone who has never played one of the previous games?

As for Socom 4, from what I've seen so far from in game videos, it just doesn't seem to be a Socom game. Big firefights and regenerating health! What? Really? That's not what Socom is about to me. You're supposed to go in, eliminate your target without being seen and get out of ther...
I have to agree with the poeple in this tread saying socom 2 was the best. I don't want to get anybody angry or anything but, from what I've seen so far from socom 4, confrontation had a more ''socom feel'' even if it was broken. It didn't feel like a 3rd person CoD or BF wanna be, like socom 4 seems to be.
I haven't played it yet. But from the in game movies with the cover system and regenerating health... It's an elimination game where yo...
To be honest, I really hope so... But I haven't played it yet, So we'll see. But I had hi hopes for Socom 4. I hoped that they would stick to the old formula. But This gen every shooting game seems to borrow something from the likes of CoD or Battlefield. So it doesn't have the tactical feel the old Socom games had. From videos at least 'cause, like I said, I haven't played it yet!

I think it's safe to say that It will get mixed reviews. So I guess the old days of great Socom games are gone for good now! It's really sad....

Funny how the word ''simulator'' gets thrown around by everybody here. Yet, nobody has ever driven 99% of the cars in GT5 or ever will. I'm pretty sure we could find an article on the net saying that Forza is an excellent simulator also backed up by ''real'' racecars drivers.
