Yeah maybe. But the problem is that it's only 20% of the game that looks awesome. The other 80% is pretty average and full of jaggies.

Sorry. My mistake. GT games have averaged over 90% except GT4 and GT5P. GT5 will need a couple more 90-95% scores to reach over 90% average. But we never know... Not a lot of reviews have been in yet
By the way I'm not defending anything here. I'm just saying how I felt when I put the game in my PS3. And what some of these reviews are saying, I find that some are that far from what I think of the game. My jaw didn't drop to the floor and I was not that impressed tbh.

I really can't understand why people are so surprised that GT5 gets some average reviews. The fact is that the premium cars look great but the other 80% of the cars look pretty average and are ports from GT4. Imo just that, deducts a couple of points from the reviews. Ok now it doesn't seem to matter if only 200 cars look good!. When it was said that it had over 1000 cars. Every PS3 supporters were like, "That's double the amount of Forza" or "GT5 is going to show how a real car sim is made". Now everybody's on damage controle since GT5 doesn't deliver. I didn't say "GT sim" I said "racing sim". I've already played 2 this gen. You probably know which ones I'm talking about. I was expecting something mesmering, jaw-dropping like it was hyped to be and because it in developpement for so long. TBH getting another racing sim that averages lower than the other 2 I've played... Not sure about that!
By the way, the second disc on Forza 3. You only had to put it in at the begining of your gameplay for what? maybe 5 minutes. and put it away. So it wasn't disruptive at all.

For me, the biggest deception was Banjo-Kazooie. When the teaser came out long before the game. It was nowhere seen that this game would be a "car/vehicule building game". I was so disappointed.

Go karts and Nascar? really? EA puts out a Nascar game every year and it doesn't sale. Why is it that because it's on GT5 that all of a sudden Nascar is sooooo good? As for 1080p you do know that most TV's cant't keep that resolution wiht animated images. I'm getting it for the gameplay and I hope it's good. Because once the "WOW" effect of the graphics is passed what remains is the core of the game...
