The 4 new missions is what interests me the most.
It's not like they're trying to hunt down every copy of the books, burn them down and then rewrite them to fit Shadow of Mordor/War into the book canon.
The Batman Arkham games also had their own continuity and there was no such huge fuss about it. Likewise the Star Wars games sometimes add or modify stuff for the sake of gameplay, and fans don't make a scandal about it.
From what little I know, yes. Whereas in the Persona series only the main characters, some of the supporting cast and the antagonists know of Tartarus/The TV World/The Metaverse, in SMT the existence of spirits and demons seem to be public knowledge. SMT is a "purer" JRPG, and less of a social sim/visual novel than Persona, I think. I may be wrong, of course. As I said, this will be my first SMT game.
Blazko (Wolfenstein II) and Bayek (AC Origins) better watch out. They may be powerful heroes, but messing with The Plumber could be a terrible mistake.
Well, Nintendo is certainly trying to attract an older audience with such a bouncy, jiggly character.
Interesting. It'll be nice to at last try a main SMT game.
Blazko (Wolfenstein II) and Bayek (AC Origins) may be great heroes... but getting into a direct fight with The Plumber may not be a great idea.
This is the game that introduced me to the Musou genre, and yes it's awesome. I hope that lots of people enjoy it.
I assume you haven't played the game yourself. I have.
As long as they remain like Shadow of War's (Everything can be gained in-game or purchased with in-game money earned through diverse activities. Even the special cash, Gold, can be earned by completing certain daily and weekly challenges, no need to spend any real money), it won't be an issue for most.
The game spawns high level orcs to recruit in the late game if that's the big issue for some, and also it's easy to level up the ones you may already have, j...
Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Metroid Prime 4, Yakuza 0, Horizon Zero Dawn, Hellblade, Persona 5, South Park FbW, Shadow of War, Skyrim, Fallout and others would also beg to differ.
I bought this today, and it's been hilarious. Best of all? It includes dubs in other languages with their respective voice actors. Hearing Cartman swear in my language is always amusing.
Waifus are popular in Japan? Who would have thought?
Link: I can dress as a Gerudo!
Mario: Oh yeah? Well, I can dress as a bride!
Samus: Will I get men's clothing for Metroid Prime 4?

Also, the possibility of having more than one save file would be good. I'd like to start a new game later, but I don't want to erase my previous save.
Game companies have always looked for ways to maximize their profits. People who complain about microtransactions surely mustn't remember Arcade games being made hard so people would spend more quarters on them, or the hint lines for when people got stuck in certain games.
Mass Effect had many more problems than just a few controversies according to those who played it: bad story, uninteresting characters, unsatisfying gameplay, just to name a few. In the end, good quality is the best publicity... and lack of quality if the worst consumer repellent.

"If I hunt a Graug, Talion-senpai will notice me!"
"You think I'd let myself bleed out just so you'd come close to me and heal me, Talion-kun? (wink)".
"I'm not betraying you just so you'll pay attention to me... baka Talion-chan!"
