Did they play the game first to see whether or not a huge grind was required at the end? If someone rushes to the end of course they would be underpowered (It's like running away from every encounter in a RPG, never getting experience or cash, and then complaining that the bosses are too hard and that better gear is too expensive).
Building strong armies to take over fortresses in each region is one of the main draws of the game in the first place. Any person who plays ...
Oh dear. It's starting... it'll be interesting to see how this ends.
I haven't spent a single cent on a single Loot Box (I haven't even opened the one I got for free with the Gold Edition), and I've enjoyed the game immensely. After I finish and post this comment, I'll play more before going to bed.
I've recruited many strong orcs, collected powerful gear and gems for Talion, gotten many upgrades, found many collectibles that allude to LOTR lore, plus there are different ways to get Mirian, which can be used for, among ot...
Easter eggs... easter eggs never change.
(For some reason I can't reply to Yobo5, so I'll post this here)
"My main complaint is that the Shadow Wars do go on for too long, even with my easily conceived “optimal” approach. I was already getting weary of them at the end of Stage 8, but I know much of that was the pressure to get through the whole thing with just a week or so before the embargo lifted. Were I to take the experience more leisurely, I may not have felt the same way. Even so, cutting back t...
I've played it a lot since tuesday, and yes, nearly everything has been expanded: combat, gear/customization, skills, enemies, the Nemesis system, even the collectibles I've seen draw from all over Middle-Earth lore (Small spoiler: One of them is a Hobbit pipe! How did it make it all the way to Mordor... could it be Bilbo's pipe?!)
Source?
Don't like 'em? Don't buy 'em. Just like with any other product you don't wish to support.
Hey! Thanks for reminding me to play Overwatch, the Halloween 2017 event is on! I also remember that I purchased 50 Halloween 2016 boxes last year, then 50 New Year loot boxes, 50 Uprising loot boxes and then 50 Anniversary loot boxes on each event! I wonder how many loot boxes I'll buy for this Overwatch event.
I'm so engrossed playing Shadow of War, I may not have much time to play Overwatch this month. Yep, I'll surely buy more loot boxes for this Halloween e...
What?! You're further proving that the microtransactions don't ruin the game, and that you can get plenty of great gear by playing the game normally?! You dare claim that all the outrage over the loot boxes is silly?! YOU DARE???!!!
...Oh wait. That's cool. Carry on.
I've played lots of Shadow of War since getting it yesterday, and to this moment the game hasn't tried to rub the microtransactions all over my face. Maybe you could... oh, I don't know... ignore them?
Even so, the big bad loot boxes can still be bought with Mirian (in-game cash) earned, for example, by completing optional objectives, hunting down loot-carrying orcs and destroying underleveled gear you don't want . You can even equip gems that let you earn M...
Nothing that interests me... fortunately. Too busy with Shadow of War and Overwatch Halloween 2017.
I've been playing nearly nonstop since yesterday. Awesome, incredibly awesome.
I bought the game today and played four hours straight looking for collectibles, fighting captains and being chased by an orc who didn't appreciate me shooting him in the head (twice). Awesome until now, and I haven't even touched the second story mission.
Such a shame that the snowflakes / Gaming Justice Warriors / Internet manchildren will miss it due to them being too stubborn to accept that their suspicions were wrong, and will cling to a few reviews that could ...
As tempting as it sounds, said feature could also be abused by people angry at being defeated by better players. Didn't something like that happen already with Widowmaker players? They were good, and since people used the Avoid feature on them, they couldn't find many games, so Blizzard had to take the Avoid option away?
Sega: You are already hyped.
Meh. Call me when they add Ronald McDonald and Wendy.
Here come the meltdowns!
This is how it happened. This is how Marvel Vs Capcom died.
Definitely one of the best games this year. I hope more people enjoy it.
