You mean NVMe. M.2 drives can also come be SATA SSDs, which are cheaper and slower than their NVMe brethren.
Regardless, NVMe prices are definitely coming down, particularly if you're still on Gen 3 like myself, which has a max throughput of 3.5GB/s on the M.2 bus (although even that top speed will never be seen — very similar to that fancy "teraflop" word that many people [particularly console fanatics] love to tout these days).
I'm sure you know that better than Sony...
I mean, yeah, I'll keep thinking that as long as you have nothing compelling to offer. You made a claim that is baseless and are doubling down on it. The inaction speaks for itself.
"lol" is exactly the response I'd expect from someone with no argument. :)
Uh, why did you put rigs in quotations? That's exactly what they are. One might say that you just wish you had one. Could be a ridiculous saying, but then again, so was your post.
OT: On the actual topic (or more properly, to you SirBruce), people with those high-end PCs already enjoy GTA with mods that blow that Remaster footage away. I know being a console-only person doesn't offer that same experience, but that's also no one's fault. I don't fault peo...
Driving will always be where GT beats Forza. Just so happens that GT7 also looks better than every Forza game released. Yes, Motorsport 7 (on PC, mind you) holds up nicely, but GT7 still tops it visually. Its cars are completely unmatched.
Indeed!
I wouldn’t waste my time with the two usual suspects posting in a PlayStation thread.
OT: As many reviewers have said, the King is back! Best looking car game out there and easily the best GT I’ve played!
Yep
Yeah, Motorsport is sooooooo great, they've essentially shelved it next to the better received Horizon series. Rarely does anyone one talk about Motorsport, while GT will do what it always does, sell gangbusters (and more than Forza, given it's a bigger franchise).
But sure, have at it.
@Outside_ofthe_Box
Exactly. Some, of course, will make excuses, but if the Series X is "so much better", we shouldn't even be debating this (as we saw with the PS4, which destroyed the Xbox One in most of these tests).
As many of us said, however, these systems are so close in power that this would be the result.
@Dee_91
Right, 500K is plenty. Says a lot that they don't need that and still achieve the most photorealistic-esque driving game. Some of the recent footage is unreal!
Much of that detail comes from the texture maps. 500K polies is actually more than I thought they were, but I make no complaints. They're the best looking cars in gaming!
Yeeeep!
No.
But Xbox isn't. It is consistently outsold in hardware and money made. Toot the "Microsoft" horn all day, but the Xbox remains last in every metric that matters.
So bad with money that they drive nearly more revenue in this industry than anyone else (only behind Tencent). But, sure, I guess. Never mind that Liverpool was never closed.
OT: Not sure what they are up to, but a new Liverpool game would great!
Spot on.
The GameCube definitely was. It was actually more powerful than the PS2.
