The only launch title it seems (and it's on the Wii U). It looks great though.
well that was underwhelming, though some games looked interesting. I'm still undecided cause that Mario game isn't out till holiday but Zelda does look great and assumably gonna be a launch game.
Project Octopath Traveler, that name tho.
Okay Xenoblade 2 and Mario Odyssey looked pretty good.
Looks like their mainly going for the casual market again, like the wii. The impression their giving me is this is a portable wii...
@ShadowWolf712
They closed Evolution last year after MS closed Lionhead so they have closed multiple studios. And "restructuring" is being up front ? uh okay sounds about the same stuff MS say when they close a studio and they consolidated most of those teams back into the company, relinquished ownership of twisted pixel but everybody forgets that, they moan about all the studios that were working on Kinect games or Hololense experience because its opportunistic not cause t...
@RpgSama
I agree, their is possibly an issue going on or Phil is just getting really unlucky and all the games he's having to cancel are being made publicly available but that's their fault for announcing and showing these games off at events and stuff even though their unsure if the IP has a future. So their inviting the criticism themselves. That's he underline problem of that their announcing these games, creating hype and then canceling. Games get cancelled ...
@RpgSama
I share the same concerns, I would have thought that giving Platinum more time to create their vision would have been the best call but this is the the thing perhaps Scalebound was a dumpster fire unable to be fixed with more time and money without basically restarting devlopment. We don't know.
And The Last Guardian I think was put on hold for a number of years, and then was revived for PS4. Clearly the problem with that game was trying to g...
Throwing money at a problem doesn't make it go away or in this case fix it.
There is things we don't know. We don't know how troubled the game was or if it even could be fixed.
Knowing the little I know, it would have seemed to be a better decision to delay the game and release it in 2018 but again we don't have all the facts. We gotta assume they considered giving Platinum more time and money.
I agree and there is plenty of blame on both sides. Platinum was clearly spreading their resoures to thin. Working on multiple projects at once. But my biggest problem from all these cancelled games (by Microsoft) is it's starting to set a pattern and now it's seeding into fans minds that whenever MS announce a new game, should we get excited for it ? Will it even get released ? etc.
They need to stop announcing games, if their unsure of the IP's future. That...
They need to stop announcing these games so early in this case cause their inviting this criticism.
I'm usually giving MS the benefit of the doubt and even defending them from a few individuals on this site I think are being overly negative or harsh toward MS but no more. They deserve the backlash after this fiasco. I'm sick of seeing as many games cancelled as announced and I thought this year would be turning that around.
This is beyond ridiculous. F*%& Microsoft for what they've done to the Xbox brand. They continue this way, they'll never get a th...

Well I'm still holding out hope the Insomniac will at some point do a SSO sequel and I don't think their tone and style suits Kameo. But yeah I agree on Perfect Dark, they could do a mix. I was just thinking something like MGS but with a Cyberpunk setting could be cool and would definitely been a welcome addition to Xbox.
We do need more variety from MS. I love to see the Kameo sequel that never was. If they rebooted that with the dark edgy tone. I think that would be another great platformed/action adventure game to bring back.
Perfect Dark instead of being a FPS should be rebooted into a third person stealth game. That would be cool. MS are just sitting on all these IPs. Use them.
@Godmars290
All I said was that's speculation, unless you know for a fact that was their plan ? I could have definitely seen them putting BC behind a paywall and make you pay for gold to take advantage of it or something but again that's speculation.
I mean they may have planned it but in any case as I said in hindsight we should be happy that wasn't the outcome. And I mean Sony released PSN classics on PS3 and will charge you again for the sa...
@Godmars290
Crackdown and Scalebound were announced at E3 2014, more than a year after Xbox One reveal. Phil Spencer was made head of Xbox in March 2014 and he was working as Xbox general games manager before that so yes he probably did have a hand in bringing these games to Xbox.
Anyway I would assume MS had planned to continue to release games on Xbox after their DRM/TV/Kinect plans were finalized, what I'm saying is after the backlash to all that and the cha...
@Godmars290
I don't disagree that in the past yes MS has been their own worst enemy. And their efforts with new IP and marketing these games hasn't been the best.
But everyone seems to be completely discounting the dramatic changes that have been happening at Xbox in the last 2 years. Since Phil Spencer has become the head of Xbox (not saying it's just to do with just him, everyone at Xbox is working hard to make the brand better) their has been a shift...
That's ridiculous and I'm hearing elsewhere the joy-con controllers are $80 or $50 separately (Right or Left). WTF!!! That's to much.
