when i saw the editors response to the story, i can only guess most of them are complete idiots.

it's hard for a legitimate charity to get 28k in donations - i find it difficult to believe this boob got that much to defend his actions.

nanosoldier - i LOVED RE1. however, i think RE2 did match RE1 atmosphere - the first time i opened the doors to the police dept. in RE2......pure awesomeness.
yea - i've gotten used to that. some just don't remember how good this series once was - so, they don't realize how BAD it is today.
RE1/2 - the good days.......when RE games were GREAT!
what interests me about rage is the car combat. that's something we just don't get enough of.
i'm a BIG fan of the KZ universe and it's goings-on.

yea - many people said KZ2 was unplayable - but i think this is more a reflection of their skill than anything else.
it doesn't matter if the topic is games, sports, news, movies....whatever - the hate is everywhere on the internet......really too bad.

but casual gamers spend money without thinking too much about it - which is what these companies LOVE about a consumer.
the wii sold despite an appalling lack of quality content. people didn't care - they bought it - used if for a few hours - and it sits catching dust 90% of the time. but for the console makers - a sale is a sale.
your point seems valid. i'd like to extend it even further. i own a ps3 and HATE motion control devices of any kind. i wouldn't buy a kinect any sooner than i'd buy a move. i like the traditional controllers.
i'm just wondering (NOT hating) if people have become dissatisfied/bored with the 360 and are looking for new ways to use it. also, MS strategy seems to be to move away from games using the traditional controller. put these 2 factors together and that would equal...
after browsing this thread, i'd say that internet HATE is alive and well.
i don't think it's possible to make a game in which all of these people would be happy.
alpha - take away the 1 year headstart and just compare numbers since both consoles have been out and sony has outsold 360. and they've done it from a much higher price. from that standpoint, i think sony has to be happy with that.
edit - this is to everyone: i'm not dissing the NPD numbers or the US sales (i'm from US); however - i think overall sales from everywhere in the world combined are more relevant.
i think both MS and sony are VERY predictable in their monthly statements.
but (like any company) what are they supposed to say? all companies put forth a spin on their business that reflects themselves in a positive light......it's just business.
what's even more "wow" than sonys win is this - Florian Mueller has continuted to seemingly be against sonys case in every way possible - and has been WRONG about everything in every way possible.......and YET! playstaionlifestyle.net continues to use this person for info.

sonys win today could lead to a settelment between the 2 companies. although, depending on what sony lawyers tell the company brass - they may want to take this to court if they think they can win.
i couldn't agree more - RE1/2/3 and code:veronica are wonderful survival horror games.
#4 was good - they really packed a lot of enviroments and playtime in that game! but, it didn't seem like classic RE suvival horror.
