i don't play CoD MP. but, i'm addicted to zombie mode!
if it IS a security issue - i think they're right to not make any info available.
and no - i'm not giving this site a hit. they're begging for it.
yea, BUT - ps+ subscribers still have access to all the freebies they've downloaded prior to psn going down......correct?
if this is true, then i don't see why they need any compensation. when psn comes back up in a day or so, they can download any new stuff that's come up.
i do agree with you if psn is down for more than a couple of weeks, but i really don't see that happening.
thorstein, you do realize that 70% of the people on this site won't understand your common sense?
bubbles for you!
you're wrong, SpLinT - just look in the mirror and you'll see the moron.
warhawk was awesome - i wish they'd hurry up and give info on starhawk.
going by what you're saying - MP could fall in the same category. if it's going to be glitchy with no dedicated servers or other issues; it'd be best to focus just on the single-player.........just saying.
i haven't heard anything about the alleged arrests. however - i'd NEVER believe anything kotaku had to say.
i like to look at their stories for comic relief.
no to "eye-dee"........its ID.
yea, BiggCMan! what the author suggests wouldn't even BE a metal gear game - and the game the author wants is already being made
(metal gear: rising) .
why are so many people mad at sony? they're trying to provide a FREE service to us. the hacker criminals that caused this situation is who eveyone should be mad at.
lets break it down: ps+ costs $49 a year (even less now that they're currently offering 15 months for the 1 year price). thats around .90 cents a week. so, if it's down 3-4 more days, sony could refund ps+ users 1 dollar. but if it comes back in the next day or so - the refund would drop to .50-60 cents.
of course - extending current subscriptions a handful of days to make up for the time it's been down is ok; but, i just don't see the big deal. and, i'm...
lame story title. it isn't a psn failure - psn is a big it with ps3 owners. it's an attack made against psn that's hurting gamers, devs, and publishers.
agreed, nycrekid.
and it didn't go down on me until thursday night around 10pm eastern here in the US. so, tonight would be the 4th day for me.
give it another couple of hours and sites will be saying this is the 7th or 8th day it's been down. LOL
i doubt any personal info has been compromised. any site that uses the internet usually has encyption for that info that has to be decoded in multiple ways to get it. amazon has my info and i've spent thousands of dollars there and have never had any problem.
AND, if sony didn't use the best security to protect acct. holders info and it was stolen - i'd say a class-action lawsuit against the big S is warranted.
Tr10wn i sent you a pm because this reply would show up to me and not you since it was made under my initial post -
my comment has nothing to do with being a fanboy. MS, since it's first console has never been great at making 1st party exclusives. as far as halo - playing the same online modes over and over (much like CoD) does not make it a superior 1st party game. i LOVE zombie mode on WaW/BO, but i'd never say that makes it better than other games. i understand that the M...
yikes! don't say that - microsoft has never been known to have great 1st party game-making skills and time certainly hasn't helped that! i don't want to wait 8 or 9 years for psn to come back.
seriously -i'm very surprised that sony hasn't got psn up and running yet. this must have been a big problem.
you're not old. like me, you're just old enough to know that being a gamer does NOT mean having to have an internet connection.
i've been playing SP zombies on WaW/BO; dead nation; demon souls; UC2; SSHD; RE2; and KZ3!
hosting IS a big pain in the neck.
Thoreau - that's nonsense. up until recently, psn/ps3 has run smoothly since launch. NO company can prepare for unknown actions until they actually happen. hackers are forever trying to worm their way into all sorts of things.
and BX81 - it's a FREE service.....and it'll be back. there isn't anything that runs smoothly forever without a problem once in a while. where is your anger for the hackers that caused the problem?
