why would it be obvious? bungie is a one-trick pony-name another successful title they have ever done. if they're smart, they will keep milking this franchise. it's the only noteworthy first party game ms has, so if bungie keeps churning out games in this series, xbots will buy them because choice is limited.

i don't care how hard it is to develop games for any system. i just want great games. why do so many people waste their time arguing over this?
no, inferior hardware causes an over 30% failure rate, the need for huge power bricks and leads to games that will be on multiple discs.
why are you and others worried about ps3 dev.? it's only been out 9 monthes. look at what the system has coming out the rest of this year and also in 2008. look back on the 360, it didn't have anything the first year and not a whole lot since. when the ps3 has been out 21 months like the 360 has, then get back to the ps3's "problems".
i guess you never heard of art direction as far as color being used in a game? you should look at GRAW for the 360 and then talk about lack of color in a game. also, killzone 2 and metal gear 4 are stunning. bioshock looks fun but not like those games.

you must have missed carmack saying the 360 game couldn't be done at all unless it's on multiple discs. couple that with UT3 devs saying they will try downloads to get the full game to 360 owners, and you have a 360 system with an even bigger problem. as the games get bigger, it will become difficult to squeeze them onto ms system.(if not impossible)

you're talking about halo 3 right. because that's what i noticed about the single player. nowhere on any single player halo footage is there more than 2 or 3 characters at one time. i'm glad someone else noticed, even if you mention it on the wrong thread.
thanks for the compliment tudors. i think that the playable demo looks better than the '05 trailer-it looks less cartoony. the playable demo looks more frightening and real. in '05 i was afraid they were headed toward the halo look. thank god i was wrong.

what,you think what you're seeing in that playable footage doesn't surpasses anything ever done? i don't pretend to be a game expert or a fanboy, but this game leaves me more amazed everytime i see it. you criticize it for not being new, then why have i not read any posts from you riding the halo games? each one is the same as the last. thats not bad but halo three looks like halo 2 with a couple of new (or upgraded) weapons and maps. sounds like you are more biased against sony than you let...
halo 3 is the third part of this story. if you haven't played the first two, why would you buy this. so, it won't move systems to brand new customers who haven't played halo before.

forget just 5-lets go the next year. ps3 has heavenly sword, ratchet, uncharted,killzone 2,MSG4, GT. final fantasy as exclusives. after halo, mass effect and bioshock, what's coming as exclusive? i don't count PGR because i've heard they have been having isssues with it and now it's been delayed. who knows what it'll turn out like.

the point wasn't that japan was so imp.-the point was that no console is doing so incredibly bad in any one region as the 360 is doing in japan. and to do that bad in one of the top 4 regions is a problem for ms.
wrong. ps2 was the reason dvds sent vhs to the grave and it would not be a surprise to see ps3 do the same for BR success. i'll say too that if ms would have included hd-dvd playback in the 360 and not had a 30% failure rate in the hardware, it could be a different story.
