it's just like someone who is 105 years old and says they smoke 2 packs a day and that proves it (smoking)doesn't hurt you. all it proves is they got lucky......just like you did with your 360. you should feel fortunate.
why do 360 owners keep bringing up imaginary failure rates on the ps2? a system from the last gen.
funny, i didn't buy a 360 because i don't think it's lived up to expectations. i'm not brand loyal either, but i haven't found a console that is as dependable and offers such a great package as the ps3.i guess that's why we are all different.
scaling issue was fixed with update 3 months after launch. i wouldn't think a systmem you bought now would need it but you might go to www.us.playstation.com and look to get the update.
edit. mr. blings-those forum posts....look at the dates....they are from right after launch. go to the playstation site and go to the updates. get update that corrects this and you're set. i did this in Feb. '07 and have had no problem since. if you can't do this on your own, get someone to hel...

and you have asked.so, i honestly believe(no attack intended)that the ps3 lineup is way above 360 this year. except for gears,(if it does make it this year)none of the other games have that "something" that says huge release. i don't want to break down why for each game as it might appear i'm being negative. but you asked for honesty, and that's what i think.
not that this isn't something that won't interest people. but, it's not for me. with all the new games out (for 360 as well as ps3) it's hard for me to look at a remake (of a game from 2 generations ago) with a new coat of paint as something to be excited over.(even if it would be available for ps3)

yea, what happened to ms listening to what consumers want. of course the hd-dvd add-on failed. consumers don't want it. all ms has to do is look at what's going on in the world and how blu-ray is the choice consumers are making. and since they say they listen to consumers, they should be giving them this option. although i believe ms really put themselves into a corner when they didn't include some kind of HD drive in their systems and use it for games as well.

with hd-dvd failing, sony is starting year off good. but, they need to get all of their games out on their scheduled release dates. haze, MGS4, and KZ2 have all slipped back a little. they need these(and others) to make their current release schedule. they also need home out this year and to have blu-ray movies drop to the 19.99 price.
i'm going to be curious as to what epic can do to make gears better in some obvious way. with the restrictions of standard dvd storage capacity, i would think the game would have to be on more than 1 disc if it were going to be upgraded in a noticeable way.
there doesn't need to be 2. it's just that sony is going to have a great year and ms doesn't have the lineup they had last year. but the fact that gears seems to be the only decent shooter for 360 this year will def. help sales.
they have only competed with blu-ray since nov. 06-that's 15 months. the first year ms had no competition.

edit:at silver360 why then did ms say for over 2 years that they think hd-dvd is the best HD format. before toshiba announced hd-dvd failure, ms never mentioned digital distribution. this comes across as being dishonest to their customers.
