gears is supposed to come out in nov? just 9 months from now. if this is true, why couldn't epic give 30 second trailer from game now? and if gears even slips 5 weeks then it isn't out this year either. and FF hasn't been given a release date yet, so who knows if it's this year or not.
but i'll take the word from GG. they say KZ2 isn't possible on ANY other system. anything you and i say is just hyperbole.

1.at 360 launch-ms says hd-dvd is format of the future and will support it with add-on. they now say they never saw hd-dvd as a format of the future.
2. at launch of 360 said core system would be ok to purchase because hdd isn't necessary. since then, all skus come with hdd and core is discontinued.
3. at launch of 360- said hdmi wasn't necessarey; now all skus released have hdmi.
4. RROD- for almost the first 1.5 years of 360 existance ms denied this problem occured. sin...
these installs sound like the laziness of the devs. i sure hope sony doesn't expect 5 gig installs to become common. if so, this would be a major problem.
why would i want to buy a 360 in the first place.(to play a "marginally better version")?it(the 360) has a failure rate as high as 30% and then instead of waiting 20 min. to play i'd wait 5-8 weeks while my 360 is being repaired. end sarcasm- "marginally better"- what fanboy crap. take that to the open zone.
you must be using an HD tv bought at walmart. no screen tearing and this game is as gorgeous as any i've ever seen. look anywhere on the net; you're the only one who has said this.

your quotes that they are having trouble programing on ps3 just isn't true. i've seen countless interviews where GG devs talk about how they love working with the system and how they couldn't do this on any other system.
it is getting frustrating waiting on new info. but, the game is listed for sept.. if it misses that, then i'm more inclined to agree that they(and the project) are in big trouble.
i'm as big a fan of KZ2 as anybody. but, they have to start giving new info/trailers NOW! this game can't stay in perpetual limbo. (no matter what the reason) i think the game is losing some buzz because of the devs silence.
even when kojima goes "underground" to finish metal gear games, you hear some info. if what was shown at E3 '07 was truly "in game" then the devs better start taking some more of the wraps off this or it will end up looking dated.
COD4,bioshock, uncharted, HS, R&C, KZ2, MGS4, ReFOM2, GOW3, FFXIII,FFversus, GTA4......how many do you want? if you aren't a 360 fanboy; there are many games that do more with story, weapons,level design...etc where gears is excellent is visuals, but i question just how much of a jump can be made with no hdd support and game being crammed on a standard dvd.

i'd have to say it's a tie between insomniac and naughty dog for the top spot. neither depend on just one franchise and both are always looking to push the bar as far as quality goes.
it didn't sound like he was hating- it read like he was jealous and bitter that they couldn't get it done.
uh, wrong toughname, if you're talking quality(story, cool weapons, char. dev., level cohesiveness) then resistance was waaaaaaaaay better. and don't get me started comparing final level challenges of each game because last level in gears was pitiful.
and, i want more variety than JUST shooters, but i'll take KZ2 and resistance2 this year and be very happy.
the halo guy does seem a little irked/concerned over what insomniac might/will accomplish with resistance2.
going by what you just wrote- wouldn't you wait to play gears2 on the pc? the first gears got extra content (on the pc version) that the 360 version never got. so wouldn't you want to play gears2 on pc and not on the 360? in case you don't get it: you just contradicted yourself.
just based on the look of the game: i'm not wild about the character design but the enviroments are flat out amazing. a definite purchase for any 360 owner. i hope the gameplay matches the quality of the enviroments.

there was nothing there. it showed nothing of interest. how can you say that was "cool"? the only thing to come of that was the nov. '08 release.(and that could change) i didn't expect gameplay but couldn't they have shown 30 sec. of in game footage or a cutscene or something? i don't think that's too much to ask. and don't act like giggly school girls over nothing, which is exactly what that "trailer" was.
