I played the Beta and I gotta say this is certainly a game geared toward Socom fans. I personally didn't care for the game I am a big COD fan so I found the game play a little difficult, but if you are used to it then it is great. I think if you are a Socom fan buy it, if you are not of fan of tactical shooters you may want to wait for Resistance 2 and COD5.
I'm sorry I didn't know there was such a thing as an Oasis fan. I know they said they where better than the Beatles, and that is when the "stupid" Americans said good bye.

I know a guy that makes almost a second living because he mods 360s for 40 bucks then sells games for 10 dollars a piece. I don't own a 360, but I do get jealous sometimes because my buddies pay 10 bucks for their games while I have to pay 60. There is a larger market being lost than you can relize.
So you agree that they never put an exact date. It is the 16th which isn't exactly the end of the month. And like I said it is 2 days short of 3 weeks. I don't know why you would pay 3 dollars for a beta? It just shows me that you don't own a PS3. I mean I put 5 dollars down on R2 to reserve it from Gamestop. That 5 bucks goes towards the purchase price on Nov. 2 so I am not exactly paying extra for the Beta. And those Betas that you mentioned where closed not open.
Was it annouced that the beta would go live on a certain date? I am looking at my card and it only says that you have to redeem by 10/22/08. I don't know about you, but getting to play the multi-player for almost 3 weeks before the game is released is something X-box does al---never ever ever ever! W@W is activision not MS, Wheres the Gears Beta?

I mean Kojima is a perfectionist so I doubt he will want to release a game on a dead platform like the 360. And if he does then I hope he doesn't ruin MGS series by making it less the game it should be.
The console isn't even 2 years old, MS has no games in 09. Sure PS3 will sell less this holiday but this 'war' won't be decided by the end of the year. Remember MS got its butt kicked all year and right now PS3 has out sold the 360 by 400k before Sept. If Microsoft doesn't double its lead this holiday it will be dead. You do know that for 85% of original ps2 owners, it was their first DVD player and it helped DVD to become the new media format much sooner than it did? I know for me and most of my friends it was true, and I still have my old TV in my bedroom with my PS2 hooked up as a DVD player.
