People also seem to forget MLB the Show was the best MLB game released in 08. Not to mention all of the PSN titles that Sony has published like R&C:Quest for Booty, and Pixel Junk games. Sony put out every type of game this year: Sports, Casual games like Buzz and Singstar, FPS R2, action MGS4, platformers LBP and R&C, third person shooter Socom, Horror Siren: Bloodcurse, Racing GT5: Prologe and MotorStorm 2, Fighting Nauruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, RPG Valkieria Chronicles.

I still have a bunch of games to get through this year but, dude next year is gonna be just as sick. Gonna get KZ2, RE5, SF4, Infamous, GoW3, Uncharted 2, R&C:FToD2, Bioshock 2 and I am alive. those are pretty much sure bets then there are all the on the fence games like Wanted, Prototype, Brutal Legend, Ghostbusters LotR:Conquest and all the unannounced stuff.

If it is cheaper to produce then you may see a PS3 slim hit stores sooner rather than later. But I would be surprised if it hit before E3 here in the states. Now a $300 dollar price tag may be a good sweet spot for consumers. I know it will spike sales.

I think they get a small royalty fee from every BR that is sold? (Some one please correct me if I am wrong bc I really am not certain.) So it makes sense to get their gaming console out to as many people as humanly possible. But I agree if they are still losing $150 for every system they sell then a price cut should be hard to stomach.

I hope they do cut price because I know there are alot of people that want a PS3 and are counting on it to drop it's price.

I wish I could find my post from Sept. Where I said the Dark Knight would push BR as a format. It was in one of the hundreds of articles of "Death of Blu-Ray as a format".

Now we just have to let this all settle in for 360 fans and wait for the DD vs. BR argument to crop up again. DD SUCKS MONKEY BALLS!!

You do realize you are quoting US sales numbers which represent only 7 million consoles in the US. It is safe to assume that LBP has sold 1 million copies worldwide considering there are 10 million other consoles that you are not accounting for in your numbers.

I mean, It takes place in a different part of the world, it is longer, has 2 completely different characters, they added co-op. What having a similar control scheme to RE4 makes this a "Remake"? Give me a break!!
By that logic every single Sequel would be considered a "remake."

A sequel supposed to have the same basic blue print of the original, but a new story and some new game play? I mean I hear people complaining that Gears 2 was 1.5, but isn't that why you buy the game. I can't name to many sequels that just didn't build on the original game.

What if Uncharted 2 is a FPS, with no cover system? or GoW3 becomes a platformer? or Halo becomes a 3rd person action game? Gamers would protest and scream foul.

It makes some good points and leaves alot of points out like lack of MS 1st party studio support, MS's non-discloser of periphials and Membership fees. Every 360 fan on the site should be pleased at this article's lack of true depth. He even says the 8 mill console lead is to large for Sony to overcome which should make 360 fans even more impressed.

I know it won't happen, but I think they should point out the 360s faults like most companies do to their competition. I mean I would bet most people that picked up the Arcade console on Black Friday had no clue about how much it will cost to add the harddrive, Wifi, and charge station. The RROD issue is really just a cherry at that point.

I think if consumers where better informed they probably not pick 360 over PS3.

It is always easier to make a game to fit DVD9 than it is to make a quality game that can fit on BR.

Yes Mad you are right? I mean MS is clearly going to sell 120 million more consoles than Sony, like Sony did last gen to Xbox. The 6 million console lead that 360 has on PS3 is insurmountable. I don't go into 360 threads typically, I go to the PS3 tab on N4G and if it MS news is on that page I might comment, but not on 360 exclusive games or news. Now NPD stuff or MS makes a comment or general console war related stuff then yes it will be on the PS3 page, but see if you can find where I made a post on an exclusive 360 game that had nothing to do with PS3. I do bash 360 sometimes I won't deny that, but for the most part I do stay fair, and slant to PS3 because that is my preferance,...

I didn't say it was going to be the best, I said ONE of the best. and he is a troll because he doesn't want to read in an opinion forum, that a PS3 owner thinks this will be a great game. If he was unbiased he would have made a better argument than calling me a fanboy, it only shows that he is a fanboy of 360. Your FPS of 09 is...??? that is what I thought Troll. If you knew anything about games you would realize there are only 2 major titles coming out next year in the genre (KZ2 and COD), unless you count Halo 3 Recon, which isn't even a full game.
