I know that sales don't make better games, but sales do determine how successful your studio is at creating games that people want to buy. There aren't many games that sold millions of copies that sucked. The only one I can think of is NintenDogs. Let's face it Insomniac has not had multi-million seller like Rare has. And so did the old Rare Ie Donkey Kong, Banjo and Conkers + Golden Eye and Perfect Dark. Great at both platforming and FPS. Insomniac and Bungie shouldn't be compared at all because Bungie has only made one game, Halo. There is talk that their next project is also a FPS, so they are not looking to diversify. Now you could compare Bungie to Guerrilla games that would be fair because they both only make FPS games and both have only one franchise that they are famous for.
What about all the games that it is missing from the list Far Cry 2, PoP, Motorstorm 2, Socom, Nuts and Bolts, LoRings: Conquest, Spiderman, COD:W@W, Quantum of Solice?

I agree. I can also see it failing because it is a single player game, so people like me may just rent it and give it one play through.
I think it will do just fine, let's not forget it is coming to Wii and it is rated T, so there is a big potential that the game will do very well this X-mas.
I hope you are wrong, but I fear you are right. I love the PoP games and the newest one looks to be a blast to play through. The last 3 games didn't sell that well because the first one didn't garner that much attention even though it was a masterpiece. Everyone that played Sands of time became a fan. Let's hope the reboot will attract some new fans. Also don't forget there is a movie coming out that could also bring some attn to the game.
What about Far cry 2, PoP, COD and Lord O Rings Conquest not to mention the wii titles all 3 of them? Hits or Fail. I don't see Brothers in Arms being a Hit especially with COD:W@W coming out. And I don't think Fracture will be a hit either bc there is no hype at all for this game. Mirror's Edge has a far better chance of being a hit than Fracture and BroInArms.
Out there that think that Proto-type will be better than Infamous? I used to think so, but now that I realize how much bigger Infamous should be with Blu-Ray as opposed to what Prototype will be on DVD9. I am excited to see what the scores will be for these two games.
Rare has made 2 Games Of the Year, Donkey Kong Country and Golden eye, which Insomniac cannot say. But you are right, they have not made an AAA title really since the first Perfect Dark on N64. I heard that viva pinata (I never played it) did get some good scores but nothing like what Ratchet and Clank Future got.
Rare is such a different company under MS than Nintendo. If you are comparing the old Rare to Insomniac than Rare would be the winner by far. But Insomniac to the Rare under MS then again no contest in favor of Insomniac.
I don't know if you folks can remember but Rare did Donkey Kong Country on the SNES which sold 14 million copies then they did Golden Eye which 1 in every 4 owners of the N64 owned a copy of, something like 15 million copies.

This isn't CoD5 it is CoD: World at War. CoD5 will be reserved probably for Inf. Ward's next iteration into the series. Kinda like how Treyarch did Big Red One, I think from now on you will see Trey get spinoffs and not full sequel names.
I got a strange list, I was one of the 10 people who enjoyed Army of Two, I like games that offer Split screen co-op, so that I can beat them with my little brother, I think only 3 of these have that feature:

It is funny that people actually think mothers are going to by a 360 over a wii because it is cheaper. No sorry if that where true then the 360 would be selling better now. It is clear that it is better graphically, but the Wii is more of a comfortable buy for parents because every other game doesn't have that M on them like the 360 games.

I never played the first Resistance and I love me some COD4 so count me in. I don't really know what is wrong with COD or Halo, but I am pretty sure that those two games are the two best FPS Multi Player games on the market. What do you mean they where a run and gun and now a tactical shooter? I didn't like oblivion that much either. But I still see why many would, I am not a RPG fan (except Kingdom Hearts for some reason) and I wasn't a 1st person shooter fan till CoD4. I am surprised no one pointed out that he said FFV11 wasn't even one of the top five best FF games. If that wasn't a statement to get hits and disagrees I don't know what is.
