I am happy for MM and know they are still adding content to LBP but I hope they have another new IP up their sleaves they are working on as well. Don't get me wrong LBP is great but I would like them to do another game and then come back to LBP.

I am trying to understand this. The Gears of war 2 teaser trailer was just black and red with Marcus chainsawing a Locus, and nobody complained, even though the game was less than a year away. Then we got some more around E3. In this Teaser for God of War 3 I could see at least 3 distinct different levels, new weapons and gameplay. So obviously they have made alot of progress on the game and it looks like it could be released by Holiday 09. I hope they don't wait till March 2010 like they alw...
I almost broke down and bought a 360 this year for Gears 2, it is still to expensive at $475 bucks, unless they throw in free wi-fi and 1 year live and charge station. But seeing the release schedule for next year there is no reason to buy a 360. Mass Effect 2 may be multi-plat considering it is now an EA franchise. Unless you are a Halo fan, there really isn't any reason to pick up a 360 next year.

I think I am actually starting to like the idea of Sony being the underdog. Just keep posting the "End of Sony Computer Entertainment" articles. There is no use in arguing the points anymore. PS3 has lost, GoW3 and GT5 will not boost sales next year, neither will a price cut because 360 is on the hearts and minds of every gamer now :( /Scarasm

No one said 07 was year of the PS3, people expected higher sales but we knew none of the major franchises where coming until 08 and they doubled their sales and out sold 360 for a few months this year. I agree we need some more demos, but it seems like there is just a short list of games being released in the comming weeks that would warrent a Demo. I mean Rise of the Argonots is really the last game comming out this year, unless they release demos for already released games like sonic and Tombraider.
Hopefully we will see demos for LoR:Conquest, Afro Samuri and RE5 next month. Or even Savage Moon. I doubt we will see a demo for KZ2 since there is a large Beta.
You should have expected Halo 3 bc it was rumored for years, and Gears 2 we know was being developed, Halo 3 Recon has been annouced by Bungie, and Epic will not have another Gears ready till 2010. They are ahead of 360s 2 year pace. So it looks like even if PS3 ends up 3rd this gen that it will be 40-50 million consoles sold, which doesn't seem like a game ender for Sony's game division going forward. Sega Genesis and N64 sold around 34 million and both companies where profitable at that point and where able to compete in future generations.
But seeing as they have a "10 Year" plan they will probably have more than that, by Summer 2010 at the latest.
