I thought we all came to this conclusion once Tony Hawk and GH5 where priced. I am waiting to hear the annoucement of Ultimate alliance 2's price probably with a Captain America Sheild for 129. I always thought limited editions meant for 20 bucks more you get an extra disk and a metal case. I guess I am getting old

To be honest I think between Uncharted 2 and MW2 I will have my fill of online games this holiday, dual owners have Halo and L4D2 as well so I think MAG would have had trouble this holiday with that much competition. I had MAG on my maybe list because of this very reason. I wish GT5 would be placed on the 09 list but oh well, I will have to settle on the 5 first day buys, AC2, MW2, UnCh2, R&C and UA2. Q1 is getting crowded.
I think these bundles will keep sales a float. But obviously the price cut is planned for OCt 1, when the go is launched.
If it is Splinter Cell, I will be licking the tears of all the 360 fanboys! lol jk. I hope it is L4D, Splinter Cell or ME. Although it is probably Dead Rising 2 which I thought was confirmed for PS3 but if it isn't confirmed, it is the worst kept secret in gaming.

You guys seem to be all missing the point, PS3 has a better network for online games because it is server based. 360 has better software interface with alot more bells and whisiles.
In the end which would you perfer from your gaming console: stable online in multi-player games or ability to chat cross game. Eric Lample was making the comment about how they work harder on their network capabilities than Live does.. Case and point Lag free MAG, adding features every month. MS star...
I keep saying this and no-one listens... PSP Go is cheaper for them to make and they will make 100+ bucks for everyone they sell, which will be the buffer for whatever they lose on PS3/slim price cut. Sony already annouced a price cut at E3 when they said they would sell 13 million consoles in a year. Considering they are behind last years 10 million pace and only one system seller (GoW3) they have to cut price before Dec. Even if they release their second system seller (GT5) this fiscal year...

Oct 1. PS3 price cut!!! conicides with GO launch. Sony loses 100 bucks on every system out the door and gains 100+ bucks for every Go out the door.
Your right on, then they complained about RE5 being to similar to RE4 then they go on this tangent about how GOW3 should try to keep it's core gameplay in order to win over fans..?? Sorry if you guys hated RE5 but I played through that game 4 times and Uncharted and Infamous are the only other games I have played through more than twice this gen.

I just hope they come up with something different again like with the paint guns in MGS level pack. Plus the talk bubbles where ingenious in the first level pack. I hope they give us a SoC and GoW level pack.
DD will never be 100% viable as long as there are gamers that want to trade or sell their games. Physical and Digital media are the same price currently, and as long as there is no benefits to DD it will not be viable.
Considering Albert made his final appearance, I am sure you are right. I am sure after all the nit-picking of the Tank controls (Which I had no issue with) there will be some big changes. I would expect to see the step up to 28 Days/L4D zombies from the Romero/RE ones we are accustom to.
I don't see how they could make a better console but cheaper by 2012? Microsoft could because they built an unrelieable console. So I could see them jumping into the next gen early just so they could escape the repair cost of RROD. But if Sony is smart they will just keep upgrading the PS3 through firmware, and keep dropping the price. Remember we are still in the HD gaming generation and a new console isn't going to change that. The next gen will be more interactivity with Natal and Motion c...
I think they want to ship in sept so that it doesn't compete directly with MW2 and AC2. So people will be playing the UC2 multi-player for a full month before COD which will be a nice appitizer. I hope this rumor turns out to be true.
