It's like custom building your own car for two years. You put all that sweat, time, and effort into crafting your baby. Then one day, your gf got tired of you ignoring her for a week, but you just got new suspensions you want to put on and you love your baby.
You turn off the lights and go out for some grub.
Meanwhile, she goes into your garage while you're away and completely goes emo in there.
you get the picture yet?
I think having many Kinects in homes will give hackers an incentive to 'jump in' and watch what you're doing. YouTube will explode! The same applies to the Move as well, except it's not as much fun watching people swing controllers around as compared to people flailing their arms and legs.
definitely about the speed. Those kids on youtube that recorded themselves playing WiiFit in hopes of losing weight should look into the kinect instead. Kinect will probably bring in real results.
yea it's the PSX.

That was awhile back.
I think several news articles have confirmed kinect only allows 2 people at at time.
Edit: I'm curious... how many of you with a Wii that actually has 4-player games (Mario Party for example or Smash bros) actually have 4 controllers? Me I only have 1 set. Usually when people want to play smash bros or whatever, they bring their controllers along.
You can get the eye for cheaper on amazon.
I disagree. The whole point of this motion-control battle is for 1:1. You only need to demonstrate 1:1 motion control using the Move controller, and in the case of the Wii you'd need the Motion+. This motion-control war has never been about how many people you can invite to your next Mario Party event, or how many Move controllers you'd need to play Sports Champion.
You might as well say the gamecube was the most expensive console ever because for the "best&q...
Err.... several sites (Gizmodo being one of them) have shown videos of people able to actually make calls when the phone itself showed 0 bars or Searching... I think people have just come to the conclusion that it's a software issue. PCmag should check this again.
@Xiphos
I'm with you on that. There's a reason why when someone calls me on my cell and I'm doing an mp session of MW2 that I purposely lie to them and say that I'm busy eating dinner with guests.
Equally frustrating when someone calls and I'm in the middle of my daily ritual [Geometry Wars] trying to get a higher ranking.
I suppose a reason why Live can never be free is because part of the money goes to funding and supporting the bandwidth usage necessary for VoiP in x-game chat. I only say this because I read that part of the PSN+ fee goes towards xgame chat, hence why free users can't initiate a xgame chat convo [and the entire convo drops as soon as the PSN+ member quits].
Anyway, I wouldn't mind paying for PSN+ if I get free PSN games a month since some of them can be like $5-9 a ...
at that speed, expect ISPs to charge a buttload in the US.
Paid definitely. Those familiar with industry journalism as a career (primarily web-based journalism [euphemist for blogging]) know that when a company wants you to write something about their product, they can either ask you to keep an open mind of the product or write one under their guidelines (positive or negative). Writing it under their guidelines/requirements is necessary to be reimbursed for the article.
Other articles that aren't obviously biased are not spon...
wasn't aware there was a MS store down south. I thought it was further up north. I'll probably see if I can go check it out next week or two to see how it is. Going to seaworld anyways so why not.
edit: @Idle can't really say SD is the best of the west coast unless it's your hometown. Others would think of a different city. Though I don't think SD is the best, I think it's great... why... with its proximity to TJ... ;-) Not that it's ...
Agreed Crysis should be on that list. But Mirror's Edge and Afro Samurai? Heh Afro Samurai was cool!
All those big big japanese animated movies you've probably heard of or seen in the movie trailers/theaters these past ... 2-3+ years are done by Studio Ghibli.
I believe [out of the top of my head] Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and Ponyo are several of them.
wow exciting! that's some super crazy cel shading. It would really look entirely like a ghibli flick if the polygonal buildings also got the cel shading treatment.
Edit: I don't know much about Ni no Kuni, but is this an rpg or what? I googled some of the DS shots/images and it looks like a puzzle game on the DS, but this video looks like an rpg?
Edit 2: lol at 1:51, 'psyduck' makes an appearance. ;-)
i like mine horizontal. Had it vertical for awhile but horizontal looks inconspicuous under my tv set. Have only had one problem in the position for the past 2 years with the original 360, so I don't think horizontal would affect new S much.
for some reason I can only think of star wars kid everytime i see star wars kinect.
Remember how that kid looked in those youtube vids? He was so serious!
I apologize if you [Mr. Star Wars man] lurk around n4g. =)
All these Move articles make me want to get one for the motion control and to use as an extra controller. From time to time I see deals at Fry's and last week I noticed they carried some opened-before PsEyes for just $23. If lucky I might find another and snatch it up.
did he just say Groola Games or is the audio playing tricks on me?
edit: haha jimmy's so energetic as soon as he pressed x w/ 3D on.
