@Forcefullpower streaming is always poorer then blu-ray which is why I tend to request the blu-ray disc to watch stuff first time round or for classics. Streaming is always going to be a poor choice for good quality hi-def picture.

Point me to a study that has been conducted that shows that someone would buy a game new if used wasn't available. Used is a form of advertising, I bought the following used to see what they were like: Dead Space, Mass Effect, Resistance Fall of Man and Fallout 3, I bought BRAND NEW all their sequels. What about DLC? Nearly every used game that I've bought I've purchase...

Oh dear, if this is the name of the next XBOX MS needs to sack the marketing department.
I posted this on another article but its just as relevant here, what's happening is both MS and Sony are testing the water by 'leaking' this idea to the press to see if we'd take it. This has followed a spate of articles that have highlighted the supposed damage that used games are causing the industry. Basically the industry (both the console manufacturers and the publishers) are attempting to manipulate public opinion. Companies and governments do this all the time.

The more people kick up a fuss about it the less likely that they'll implement it, I say lets do what we as gamers do best and moan, complain, set up online petitions, commission market research, set up websites and send the executives of MS and Sony dog turds through the post.

Oh gawd I hope the next gen isn't all about chasing the casual market. This combined with a push for digital distribution and a lock on trade in's is going to destroy our favourite hobby.

I haven't bought a single Activision title this gen, they're a terrible company with terrible business ethics, producing terrible cash in yearly franchise games.

That may be the legal position but if thats the case the law's an ass.
Any console that goes digital only will fail. The vast majority of people want physical media for their games and their movies and there are millions of people who haven't connected their console to the internet. Nobody but publishers who want to restrict what you do with the games you buy are clamouring for digital only.
Hell its over 10 years since MP3's came out and CD albums still outsell MP3 albums.
The PSP Go was hardly a success either.
I have a Steam account, I just prefer physical media for my games- thanks very much.
I will not buy a download only console.
Given the time it took them to develop Alan Wake I guess that the next gen is probably about 5 years away. :p

Mass Effect has never been about multiplayer, I haven't even redeemed my code that came with my game. I want SP content and I don't want pointless MP produced at the expense of SP.
