I don't plan on buying am X1 in the foreseeable future, until it's at 300 (not trashing the console, just bought a lot of stuff recently don't have the funds really), but this adds incentive. I just wish they would bring all the exclusives to PC too, just as a fan of the IPs and a PC owner :/ x86 architecture is compatible, honestly a straight port would do it for me, I just don't want to have to have a XB1 for those games.

Same here, they have their separate advantages. I find it stupid how people try to compare subjective material like exclusives, controller, style, etc. Specs Initially make sense, but there's still the factor of better optimization on PS4, leaving three things to compare really: performance on games (whether it be max settings or a pre-built model like the Alpha), game prices, and capabilities past games.
Something like the Alpha should be compared through actual testing...

Honestly the 500 dollar straight up console experience from Nintendo would be a home run in my opinion. No gimmicks, just games, 1080p 60fps or greater. Options wouldn't be bad either, 1440p seems a bit much for consoles yet though, maybe in 2 years we'll see that from Nintend, create consoles of differentiating power and cater to people who don't mind lower res, people who like 1080p and people who want the best bang for their buck at the higher resolution.
