The general impression is the scots dispise the english and being part of the UK. Making a GTA game based in England would annoy alot of scottish games. Plus setting it in America makes it more appealing to the yanks which = more sales
for me (in no particular order and including PSN games as they're still games made for the ps3):
1.Uncharted 2
2.Killzone 2

5.Heavy Rain
6.God of War 3
7.Uncharted
8.Pixel Junk Monsters
9.Pixel Junk Shooter
10.Pixel Junk Eden
11.Motorstorm 2
12.Infamous
13.Motorstorm

how can someone dispute this?
Claiming they didn't wish to put alot of effort into the game.
Going multiplatform will infact mean they have to put even more effort into it.
This game didn't hold as much hype as other PSN exclusives, the developers and producers probably predicted poor sales.
I personally wasn't interested in this game regardless, hopefully having a wider audience will help the developers financially.
as some games have shown (that street fighter)
the reaction time between you moving and what's being displayed on screen will vary from game to game depending on how well coded it is.
What this will probably be is the bare bones of the technology behind it, as in when testing the device, with nothing else going on it will be this fast.
Regardless, I can't wait to get move and hope some intuitive games come out from it. (Bring on a marc echo 2!)
Not only is Uncharted 2 unarguably the best looking game on any console, Naughty Dog have been able to grasp the Cell architecture and make it work for them.
I didn't believe them when they claimed that as great as killzone 2 looks, uncharted 2 would look better. I ate my words and from now on respect what ever they claim.
ignoring the fact Jaffe clearly stated his next game is NOT twisted metal 2 over on his twitter account;
Pachter was obviously joking. Think the author just got a little over excited...
Heavy rain is without a doubt an amazing game, but I too cannot see how Quantic Dream didn't notice how poor the child actors are, it's cringeworthy at some point and can really retract the immersion, which is a great shame.
if you're refering to HD to 3D in general, a Blu-ray player with HDMI 1.4 has no compromise to quality.
If you're refering to Sony's 3D games which can't run at 1080p while running at a smooth framerate, then there's an acceptable compromise, most of them still run smoothly at 720p. Some run lower than that, but if AAA games on the Xbox 360 can run at sub-HD Sony's games are welcome to do the same twice in the same amount of time. Similarly to developers moving...
Of all these pin heads assuming Avatar was the first stereocopic 3D film and that all these 3D films coming out are a result of Avatar's success..
The top electronic companies want to really try to push 3D onto the market and that was the reason for so many 3D films being made to see the public's opinion.
I understand 3D not being for everyone, however the majority of public feedback has been positive towards 3D. The fact there will be 3D supporting games doesn't m...
I wasn't aware this showing was so big that indie websites were invited too...
I could've wrote this article if I just looked around at what all the proper gaming websites were saying then put my own spin on it. The author obviously dislikes 3D effects for games, or is against sony leading 3D gaming, and wanted to try trashing it.
guess I'm alone xD
E3 has gone back to how it used to be now, I agree it was terrible those 2 years it went small.
It's good to hear that natal has lots of software ready for launch. Just hope Microsoft show the full extent of what Natal can do, according to patcher they're at the point where Natal can read your finger movements. Great stuff.
I also agree about the PSP being a portable console problem, I was playing GoW on psp wondering why I didn't jus...
Will be great if it becomes material, a clear sign developers are expanding what they can do
I hadn't even heard of this. After watching the trailer I expected the review to say the game didn't respond as well as the trailer made out. Definately interested in this now.
No.
I can understand Heavy Rain not being on that list, but no GOW3 intro?
Plus Killzone 2's intro movie with Brian Cox is also brilliant, similarly Uncharted 2's intro level's fair awesome.
Though now stuck between getting an LG 3DTV or a Sony 3DTV depends which party is going to support 3D the most. I'm tempted by the 4 games/demos deal from Sony
I wasn't as amazed by the beta as I hoped, and all my mates with xbox's agree. Have to hope gears 3 can top the online off the bat
Expected something where you're an Avatar, as in from the 3D film, Ahh well.
This family give me the creaps. Hopefully Microsoft shows off games that show how revolutionary Natal can be at E3, as apposed to just games that can be done using the playstation eye where you have to move your entire body about like a moron.
