If you're a small company developing an ambitiously epic game, then your company is in big danger. Level-5 and Free Radical were small devs, and while they didn't pay for themselves, companies wouldn't want to pay for another one of their games as you're pretty much remembered for your last game. Both Lair and Haze were not only very hyped and had a very high budget, they were original IP.
These are probably some of the riskiest projects any gaming company has ever tried to ov...
And intel is going the right way. Intel is making their processors better at graphics. I don't think nVidia is doing much for their GPUs other than being better at media tasks and not more General processing tasks. If nVidia wants to beat intel they need to make GPUs the new CPUs.
Stupidest comment I have ever read. There are no "fanboy developers". If a developer believes a system is more powerful or more capable than other that makes them fanboys? Even if it wasn't true, developers are paid to act as PR for the exclusivity and/or for the exclusivity. You have to be delusional to think that they somehow did Haze for free just because they liked Sony.
Microsoft didn't publish Bioshock and that certainly didn't stop 2K from making Bioshock time...
"What i am doing is here is following the game industry, as i like GAMES.
And whether a game is good or not is not up to you to decide, Too human was critically acclaimed, but still liked by many. "
You're a hypocrite. First you imply that people have no business talking about Silicon Knights when they are supposedly "PS3 fans" according to you, even though they're gamers just like everyone else here. People would simply like Silicon Knights to do so...
After Too Flop being the biggest flop in gaming history, Silicon Knights should be disolved. 10 years down the drain... I seriously hope there is no "Too Human 2".
Edit:
@Foxslave:
A Too Human sequel affects me because I also own a 360 and I rather have developers make games to series that are good. Funny you say "stop trolling" when this concerns mostly PS3 and Wii fans, as Factor 5 hasn't even supported a Microsoft console. Wh...
Again, fanboys like shredder fail. You think you can make bogus claims without backing them up, do you? lol, reviews would reflect whatever you're saying that's wrong with COD4 PS3. What kind of "vulgarities" did I even say? As usual, you keep embarrassing yourself.
I don't care about review scores, "menech", but if there was an issue with the PS3 game, the scores would certainly reflect it as they have been doing so with inferior 3rd party ports. COD4 certa...
You missed CViper's point. Of course he doesn't really mean it as the best part, he is simply taunting 360 fanboys with 360's supposed game "exclusivities" which are never really exclusivities, since western games get ported to PC, and Japanese games get ported to PS3 and/or PC.
I guess it's true that some people arrived too late to the brain repartition event...
"Do you have a more credible source then Microsoft to back up your claim? "
So Microsoft is credible now? LOL. I believe that to them "Shipped" = "Sold" when that's not even remotely true. I do believe, however, that Microsoft might reach 25 million installed (SOLD) this holiday season.
Anyway, install base doesn't matter... games sales do. I'll give you that, the 360 has sold more games than PS3 has had when comparing launch timefra...
" IM pretty sure that COD6 is gonna suck on the ps3
The 360 is still the best console to play any COD on. "
Said some ignorant fanboy. PS3 got the same score on metacritic and gamestats and gamerankings as the 360 version if not a little higher. It's the same game.
My advice: If you're gonna troll, do it properly next time. At least use your brain a little bit, even if it's harder for you.
As long as games are still made for it. 2008 was good and 2009 will be better. iPhone's only "killer" game, i.e. only game that would make you buy an iPhone for it is MGST (but the quality of it remains to be seen). I have an iPhone and it rocks BTW.
I get both infamous and prototype
Yeah Kigmal, just like every iPhone user is a tool. *rolls eyes*
At least you admitted ownage, kudos.
It's also about an environmentally friendly package.
And it was also "Shoddy" to like 10% of PS2 owners (cetainly not 33% though). Not my case and not most's case but you'll surely hear a few Xbox fanboys about this (as if it was relevant now anyway).
They'll have to go completely digital and bundle a huge HDD and sacrifice a lot of potential consumers. Besides, Blu-ray will be last-gen by then unless it supports more layers than it currently does on PS3.
Halo 3? Or COD4? You really don't know what their time was spent on, it could have flopped even harder on 360.
Hell, let's speculate even more and say that maybe Haze would have been a success had it been developed from ground up to PS3 with little or no work on 360 AT ALL. That would have actually allowed them to "figure out" the PS3 or to polish the game.
It goes both ways, so GTFO
Yeah, it's always cool to blame Sony, but guess what? Sony didn't develop this game, and this game SUCKED. It's their own fault and it's publishers prejudices that shut them down. You can't blame Sony for "not advertising", that's probably not the agreement they reached. Hell, Blame them for delaying Haze so much. You'd think they'd be fine with the money that was paid for exclusivity if there was something like it.
Sony isn't to blame here. Perhaps ubisoft but ultim...
"you cant keep making the same game over and over "
You're only proving my point. You can't keep making games the same, which is why you let the franchise die instead of "reinventing" it. A lot of people bought resident evil 4 and will buy RE5 because of the Resident Evil name. Just like the Wii has no merit at all for its success, the RE4 and RE5 could have been new IP, but instead lazy ass capcom had to keep whoring out some of the same characters in the s...
I liked stranglehold, it came with the movie hard boiled in HD!
Do you not agree that Intel is making an effort in making their chips better for graphics? I didn't say their chips are or will be ideal, simply "better" than they are now.
Or do you not agree that nVidia should widen their market by either entering the CPU market or making the GPUs replace the CPU? Do you think they are on the right track?
Or are you just spamming/trolling? If so I reported you as SPAM just in case.
