Couldn't agree more with the quote. SR3 was amazing and actually FUN. GTAIV made me feel like even digital life sucked, but Saints Row had me in hysterics from start to finish and [minor spoiler] the awesomeness of hearing "You're the best....aroooouuund!" as the game demands you chainsaw through hundreds of bodies.....well.....amazing doesn't even sum it up.
2 weeks for a patch that doesn't work.....isn't really aggressive lads. Actually one of the slowest responses I've seen considering the main quest is even bugged to uncontinueability.
I like how the excited nature of the title makes it seem like this is good news.
This is not good news.
Naaah not a glitch. The X second timer for Soul Trap applies on EACH HIT of the weapon so even a 1 second weapon is more than good enough if you only hit the enemy with it.
The main campaign is actually VERY VERY short, disappointingly so buuut not enough to harm the overall quality of a brilliant game. Thing is, anyone who tries can finish the main campaign in under 4 hours and if you've been side-questing a lot you'll find many of the side quests completed main-campaign objectives, making it even shorter.
I personally only touched the main campaign after level 50 and really wish it had a bit more to it, guild quests are also about 1/3 ...
Is this what gaming "journalism" is nowadays? A game comes out and people are so desperate for writing material they go as far as........SUGGESTING WAYS TO HAVE LESS FUN WITH A GAME?
I thought the blacksmithing/perk guides were bad (that were word for word what you could find in game) but man new lows seem to come every day lately. (Though my personal worst are the clear hit-trolling '5 Reasons thisgameyoulike actually sucks')
N4G, reform yo...
GTA4 was a massive let down for me. The only good part was the character depth, otherwise the city felt dull and all the fun was drained out of it. Recently played SR3 and to be honest? It's better than any GTA I've ever played in every respect aside from the slightly more limited radio stations.
I don't know if GTA 5 can actually compete in sheer fun (and that's all that really counts people) but it'll have a decent shot if they go back to San Andreas/Vic...
The umpteenth time they've failed to deliver on a (vague at best) release date. They need to get their act together and stop delaying the sequel to work on a port of the original, it is maddening and they'll suffer when they lose all the pre-D3 sales they would have garnered.
This whole article makes me fear for my generation. If 95% isn't enough for you then you're going to be having a VERY limited and watered-down gaming experience ahead of you.
Many of the titles I've enjoyed the most have gotten scores in the 70% region for reasons "AAA" titles are guilty of themselves but get a free pass from genuine critique. Nothing deserves a 95% score, but it sure as hell is more than "good enough".
At least bulletstorm was creative and fun in the gameplay department. Honestly? I had a thousand times more fun playing it than the any generic military shooter this decade.
He never mentioned a thing about pandas in his comment did he?
Personally? I loved the Pandaren Brewmaster in W3 but a race that can be both horde and alliance just doesn't sit right with me. They already screwed races up big time by making cutesey horde and monsterous alliance races but this COMPLETELY blurs the line.
Additionally they've murdered the talent system. NO MORE POINT TALENTS. Levels mean nothing anymore except for every 15 levels but eve...
I stopped looking forward to D3 since I found out point based skills/talents were completely out the window. I could handle stat control being chucked, but you take that from us AND investable skills? Suddenly the only thing that seperates characters is their equipment and you lose any fun in leveling up, especially if they implement diminishing returns like in WoW, which makes you effectively WEAKER as you level.
(And Runes really mean next to nothing for customization on an...
It'll be just as bad as the last 6 or 7 games. Make a new underground already silly devs, it's what EVERYONE seems to agree would be the best route out of shitty stagnation.
I gave up on this one when the developers were BRAGGING about quicktime events being in the game. Oh how little they know..........
Betas aren't demos. I wish the modern gamer would understand this. Betas are MEANT to be buggy, laggy and full of problems. I blame jackass publishers who give away beta keys with purchases though, long gone are the days where you actually had to have a good history of beta testing (which was the case when I was young and supporting quite a few beta titles) to be accepted.
I even seen players "lol" at the thought of reporting problems to the team.....not realiz...
First year I couldn't attend due to the computicket mess up, but really the expo is not the amazing part...........it's the lan.
For the last 4 years the expo has been mediocre at best and the usual chants in the DC++ hub are "Y EXPO SO CRAP THIS YEAR?!?!?". Worse yet that the lanners are DISALLOWED TO SLEEP because they'll "damage the expos image" every year.
I wish they'd separate the events for once. Have a much larger ...
We need less FPS games not more. You know we're screwed when modern previews say their first isometric experience was the D3 Beta.
You could indeed, but you wouldn't be able to transfer your "grinded" character over to the public server so it would be pretty lonely in the long run.
I played WoW on a emulated server years ago and while I did enjoy the experience, it was hollow and empty compared to when I played it officially years later.
MMORPGs just aren't fun if someone isn't calling you a noob at least once per day just because you (god forbid!) logged in.
There really is a ludicrous assumption that this generation is already over going around across n4g. It isn't.
NOTHING you hear about now or for the next 6 months will wait for the next generation (Obviously excluding Wii U). Remember, developers develop 2 fold. 1) WITH WHAT ACTUALLY EXISTS AT THE TIME 2) What has the largest current userbase (excluding exclusives which are dick-moves to sell consoles)
They will NOT be retarded and release a game on any c...
Assuming Noel is from the future I suspect he's Sarah and Snow's son. It's the only way they can make up for Snow weirdly not being around when Sarah is in danger, or for her suddenly traveling with some other guy.
I mean Snow spent half of FF13 just staring at Sarah's damn STATUE.
Can't tell if article is trolling or just honestly retarded.
To even consider that valve would make their biggest franchise console exclusive requires more glue than braincells in one's noggin.
