Failing in the long term. They're going for short-term profit and not establishing/maintaining "brand loyalty". They will suffer in the long run for these mistakes but it's up to them in regards to when the realize them and stop insisting we all want to yell at our TVs for them to google apple pie recipes.
Damnit now I want some apple pie.
Ugh and I wish that was the end of MS's major messups recently. Not only did they say they cared about PC gaming and then half killed it themselves through GFWL and cancelling PC titles for exclusivity (Alan Wake) but now Windows 8 is.......built for tablets. They're really really stupid enough to think that designing the most successful desktop OS to work poorly on a desktop (Metro is shit with a mouse and keyboard) is a good idea?!?!
I want to stick up for MS so bad...
You don't need to be "hardcore" to know kinect and move are rubbish ideas.
If there were only a few viable builds the fault was with the balance. You don't fix an apple by giving someone an orange. There will just as like be only 1 effective rune for each skill, and THREE passives? Come on mate.
THREE.
There are more rpg build type choices in Starcraft 2.
Oh god yes.
Crysis 2 was almost as unoptimized as Crysis 1. I would suddenly start lagging and stuttering while staring at an empty patch of WALL but the game would run like butter during some massive fire-fights. I pray C3 is a different story.
And err...that you don't have 20 quick time event scenes where you get your ass auto kicked for no reason.
@Ash
Opinions are never wrong. They're opinions. You can disagree with them but they're not facts, so hell yes his opinion is a valid point.
I've been on N4G years now and you mean to tell me the average population hasn't gotten old enough to stop this sort of shit? Disagree with his opinion all you want, but there is NO REASON to bubble down an opinion that comes across honestly and unoffensively.
Look at submitted website name, look at article headline, amazingly develop psychic powers to know it's trite.
But srsly, do we REALLY expect blackops2forum to be objective about........blackops2?
This is more like D2 than D3 and in some people's eyes (including me) that's a really good thing. D3 isn't an rpg any more, hell THE DARKNESS 2 (a slightly above average fps) has more RPG elements than D3.
But still runic......y no release date us in years?!
I think you mean final two RACES. But yeah....really want to see what Sylvari and Asura stories are like.
Game is definitely no Wow-clone. It feels different from anything I've played before and is probably closer to a traditional WRPG than a typical mmo - that's a really good thing though.
Personal story is fantastic too. It gives you lifelong goals, major rewards, important choices and really helps you get attached to who your character is. PS actually makes you feel important, not just "ONE OF MILLIONS OF HEROES WHO ALL JOIN TO FIGHT BAD GUY".
The Tribes series is older than Halo so the idea theft is in reverse you'll find.
Loath the idea of prequels. Nothing exciting can happen because you KNOW how it all turns out "in the end". Prequels are a milkers dream when they've written the story to a wall.
On the bright side though, at least this time Kratos won't "Ooopsie" and lose all his powers in the first 5 minutes. (Something Ezio is also rather guilty of)
Every developer says this. No one says "Yes it will be shit, please give us money anyway".
We cannot make ANY judgements from this PR speak, only from the final product and ME3 sure as hell suffered for multiplayer so I'd keep a skeptical look until proven otherwise by results.
As sick of NYC in games as I am...........I'll still take it over more Afganistiraq.
I got a bit excited when the end of ME3 had you going to London..............only to discover there was nothing Londony about it left.....
I'd like to know if they paid you good money for your brain or if you just donated it to charity?
Srsly. I'm a pc gamer and I consider what you just did to be douchebagging. No one brought up Consoles vs PCs, you just went there yourself and started an imaginary one-man flame.
Crytek are very good at making shitty games, most of us agree about this. It isn't a matter of consolevspc. It's a matter of Crytek vs Goodgamingideas.
Risen 1 was horrible and it was pretty easy to predict this would be the same. Why so many sequels to terrible games while great games get left ashore? *Cough* Psychonauts *cough*
The whole design process these guys use is sub-par and I suggest they take a bite out of Stardock's books, who often release crappy games (with potential) and then rather than churn out sequels, instead release massive alterations to the game until it is actually a quality product. Of course we&...
Probably not actually a patch per se. The original unpacked is around 12 gigs, so you're probably redownloading ALOT of data instead of modifying it, while annoying to those of us with shitty internet it's understandable as it's much easier to avoid bugs cropping up this way.
Completely misleading headline. I'd flag it if N4G stopped being retarded and let non-submitters report BS articles. (Seriously strange move that).
Nothing was confirmed at all, and this is an old interview. Poopies on you uploader, poopies on you all.
Indeed that ending was pretty disappointing, particularly because it completely undermined Raziel as a character. He longs for nothing but revenge against Kain and giant octopussgod but instead.......becomes Kain's weapon and we're forced to end the game as Kain?
Kain was never a bad character but Raziel has much much much more potential and motivation in his actions, not to mention he isn't simply a "Vampire" like Kain and is rather something unique.......
Heard this so many times before. Does anyone remember that Fallout 3 claimed to have "OVER 100 POSSIBLE ENDINGS!"? Turned out those "endings" were still screen shots with 10 seconds of slightly altered narration on them. Games just don't deliver on "multiple endings" in modern times so please......don't be fooled.
