Is..............this a joke?
Ubisoft & Activision are tying for most hated publisher at the moment. EA surprisingly lost that honour but is looking like a strong contender with origin!
"Smart Vsync" exists to take care of that particular problem, though I haven't seen any devs other than ID offer it so far.
Exclusive games? Everyone loses.
If you're a gamer and you like the idea of exclusives............you' re fooling yourself. Exclusivity means not only less money to developers (yes indeed, little do some realize that cutting your sales base to a third is a BAD decision) but less people get to actually enjoy the end product. Also do remember folks, the money the devs get is essential to finance future games. (Although I do feel most games are over financed lately with ...
N4G's approval system is a farce. You have to have past articles approved to approve (OR EVEN REPORT!) articles. Making it one big circlejerk of equally retarded people aaaaand why we get everything tagged as PC when it shouldn't.
All exclusive content is retarded. Do gamers ever win with it? Nope. Just one more piece of each game blocked off and stripped down.
Which is precisely why he died at age 55. Had he not been a king he'd likely have died even younger. Furthermore back then it took extraoardinary circumstances to allow a non-noble to get fat in the first place as most had a hard time not dying of malnutrition.
"Late in life, Henry became obese (with a waist measurement of 54 inches/137 cm) and had to be moved about with the help of mechanical inventions. He was covered with painful, pus-filled boils and possibly suf...
Eh they mean the generic (over)usage of "Hardcore" not Diablo's specific permadeath option labeled as the same thing.
Realism? Realism is getting shot once, evacuating, spending 2 months in a military hospital because the wound got infected. Oh don't forget your gun jamming, or how it should take a good 30 seconds to collect ammo from corpses, only to discover they use cheap bullets that encourage the already-mentioned-jamming. Casually dying when you go into town for supplies but you drive over a IED is sure to cause waves too!
So yeah, you don't want realism. You never want realism...
Gabe actually replies to most mail.
Sadly his "replies" are usually very vague or trollish.
China will grow stronger.
As much as it is clear the author is trying to defend PC gaming he is........really misguided. There is no drawback to the game being on more platforms. More people will get to play it and that......well that's a good thing for everyone concerned.
So don't go making decisions about what PC gamers do and don't want on our "platform". I frankly want as many games to choose from as I can.
The only thing GTA4 is better than is a BSOD, and even then I'm pushing it. I've never regretted a game purchase as much. SR3? Oh dear how dare they actually make games fun again! THE SHAME!
He saved him with the power of a bromance hug.
Who the hell would want a COD4 remake? COD8 is using THE SAME ENGINE slowly bugged down over every iteration. Would we really want COD4 with more exploits, bugs and stuttering performance? Of course not. This is like saying they should remake FF7 on a PS1 engine instead of a PS3/360 level one.
COD4 is the last good COD game made, remaking it is like telling us you'd want to turn it into a shit stain like the rest of the recent series.
But really the best ...
For me the worst offenders are the newest Assassin Creed games with their "Full Sync" garbage. You complete the mission and then they destroy any sense of accomplishment with a large FULL SYNC FAAAAIIIILLLLED whittling across the loading screen.
However the developer didn't work on THIS ENGINE. He worked on a completely different one and is rightly talking out of his ass. The PR guy is just saving face and letting people know he's way off base here.
And really it makes sense, why would their new ground-up engine have the exact same issue their old one did? That would be a pretty heavy development oversight.
The bars and meters are essential in CERTAIN games but better ignored in others. For example in Mass Effect it unlocks higher reward dialog options only when you have a certain amount of points in either side, KOTOR also gave you bonuses when you reached the max of either alignment. Buuuuut in games like Skyrim? I actually love that there isn't any. Someone is rude to me or tells me for the 90th time my god damned sweet rolls got stolen? I follow them home and murder them, and then save t...
Price is actually an immortal zombie or vampire of some kind with a hat fetish. He's been in COD since COD2 (which had my personal favourite single player campaign that quickly taught you that you were worth less than potatoes) which means somehow he maintained a youthful look for 70+ years.
Pretty the norm for skyrim "articles" as of late I'm afraid.
And let's not forget THE EMPEROR himself!!!
Such a bro about the whole thing.
Also Paarthunax was awesome. So awesome that I got angry when the blades wanted me to kill him............so I killed them all a few dozen times (Even if they resurrected constantly).
So yeah, I'd say Skyrim has quite a few memorable characters and moments which means this is just more hit-trolling "gaming journalism".
