This actually doesn't hurt MS in any way. If anything it's free advertisement.
It would be weird to see them get angry.
I like KP Reports. They feel kinda more down to earth. They answer a bunch of emails. And it's pretty interesting especially when you're a MGS fan.
AND! They confirm/re-confirm/comment/dis confirm (if there is such a word) rumors. Which is pretty cool. Plus you get to hear some of the MGS soundtrack xD
It could very well be that Sony saved a bunch of the 80gb intentionally for the MGS4 bundle. And honestly Sony kinda said the 80gb bundle (w/ motorstorm) was only going to be available for a limited of time when they announced it (they did call it limited edition too)
I don't see that many ads so it might be.
honestly how much difference can you see? Personally I can barely see a difference between 720p and 1080p on a 37" HD TV.
I rather take the PS3 than a standalone blu-ray player any day. Simply because it has so many more features (divx, streaming off your pc, gaming, upgradeable firmware).
Dedicated servers are ALWAYS better, they are way more stable as you can see with Resistance: Fall of Man it can hold 40 players and be lag free. And apparently Resistance 2 is suppose to hold 60 players lag free. The dedicated servers you're talking about is not dedicated servers. A dedicated server is a server dedicated to that particular game (hence the name).
It's true though that Xbox Live can hold dedicated servers and Frontlines is proof of that. But the difference here ...
I agree that Nintendo did well with DS and Wii but other than that they've been flopping all over the place ever since SNES.
N64, GameCube were both flops (GC even sold less than Xbox on worldwide basis). GBC and GBA only did well because there is no one to compare it to. I bet that if you compare the sales of those handhelds with the PSP, the PSP probably would have better sales.
Wut? What is so innovative about Halo 3? It's just a well made FPS, it is not innovative at all. COD4 introduced at least some stuff like Airstrike and Chopper.
Personally I'm surprised Halo 3 is that popular. But I guess I'm one of those that will never get how and why Halo 3 is so great.
I thought UMD movies pretty much flopped already. I don't think I know anyone who bought a UMD movie.
The market has been following the news people. It was only a minority that is buying High Def media, and we all remember that after the Warner Bros announcement BD quickly outsold HD DVD. If that minority didn't follow the news BD's sales would never have jumped.
The reason why HD DVD is selling so well atm, is quite easy. The price of the cheapest HD DVD player was 80 bucks (at most retails) which I think includes a HD DVD in it. Additionally you would get 5 HD DVD's via rebat...
i would just keep it and get the collection.
I don't think you'll get that much money for Subsistence. Though if you really really have to. I would trade it.
it was worth buying the ps3 a year ago. and the value just gets bigger and bigger.
ouch, I think those guys at edge think too highly of themselves.
Seems no games is good enough for them.
Nope, though it is 10$ cheaper. So it is somewhat a blow.
I'm just happy it's not one of the better titles.
The voice thing sounds like a gimmick.
as a person who doesn't own a PSP but owns a PS2 I love these PS2 ports. Granted I haven't bought any of them but I might just pick up Silent Hill: Origins.
If MGS: Portable Ops or GoW: CoO were ever to come I would most def pick them up with no hesitation. Well that's a lie 40 bucks is a bit much for last-gen title. 20$ = no hesitation, 30$ = will think about it.
she's hot though... i'll watch the movie for her
whats in the patch? or how will it affect the game?
basically, why are people excited over the patch?
i agree that 30fps is pretty good. But I def see a difference between 30fps and 60fps.
If you play COD4 a lot, and then jump over a 30fps game (which is how pretty much 90% of the games are) you'll be surprised at how much your eyes get used to 30fps
in the end it's all about the games and the price. really
