This is actually a good thing dude. Do you know what shareholders goal is? And their only goal when buying stocks? Money. They know nothing about games.
Only good thing they can do is provide the budget. But leave the decisions to the company.
Actually in the case of PS3, you got PS2 backwards compatibility. I'm guessing you might refer to the price drops but I think that's something everyone takes into consideration when buying a product. Everything falls in price.
Now if you said PSP I would agree. Not having a big feat like Skype is a big letdown for those early adopters.
yup I don't think GDC has been a place to announce big stuff. It's a game "developer" conference anyway. LBP fitted perfectly for that part (in some ways at least). And who knew it was gonna be that big. Also info about Home was leaked out thanks to Kotaku. So I guess that's why Home was shown at such an early stage.
I agree in that GTA is probably better but in terms of lightning. This Is Vegas kills GTA. Just look at all the reflection on the cars, look at the shadows and look at the colors. I think in terms of lightning and colors and graphics This Is Vegas is better.
In terms of gameplay it remains to be seen. Rockstar has had a good history with their GTA games while Surreal has a lot to prove. So for now I would say that goes to GTA. Graphics for open world games doesn't really matter...
Toshiba and Sony is still on good terms dude. Toshiba is supplying CELL processor for the PS3.
think what he was trying to say was that there wasn't much cooperation between the departments. So the game department didn't know anything about the movie or electronic department. Almost like they were seperate companies.

yes but a under 5% failure rates is normal. 30% IS NOT!!! 30% is unforgiveable.
And if you do get a working Sony product it lasts forever, my PS2 still works today as the day I bought it and I bought it like 6-7 years ago. I never even cleaned it. I'm spoiled dirty kid. And my PS1's laser kinda went bad, but only after 10 years of use!

@1.1 what happens when you press ctrl + enter is that it automatically puts in www.<what you entered>.com and presses enter for you... so you basically don't need to type "www." and ".com". oh and yeah it could be Internet Explorer "exclusive".
Anyway one I use a whole lot is windows button + e (mentioned in the article)... it opens up windows explorer.
