I actually think Super Metroid is one of the best games of all time. Just never really got that into the 'Prime' series. They were good, just not amazing IMO.
I think too many people confuse overrated with bad. They are 2 completely different things. That's why there are always so many disagrees being chucked around like monkey doo.
I think they review a lot of games lower than average. Uncharted 3 got a 7.5/10. Not a bad score, just indicative of them scoring lower than average.
I checked their site, but how come you can't see the review scores on their website? Just the reviews. Anyone help me out here?

I doubt they will make it as good as Killzone 3 (had very large scale areas, despite what haters say), but anything close and I'll be happy.
I stopped and looked at my Killzone 3 Helghast edition on my shelf before I left my room this morning as well. Such a great game.

Yup. Was just playing it for 5 hours straight, through the night. Onto the last disc (4). Best 360 game along with Alan Wake IMO.

I think the Uncharted games are worthy of their reputation, to me UC2 is as perfect a game can get.
I myself have never really got that into God Of War however. The first was great on the PS2, 2 and 3 were good, but not amazing. I liked Chains Of Olympus on the PSP more than 2 and 3. Despite my opinion, I am still getting ascension.
Yes, he just had Nintendo games, plus Gears of War and Halo.
I agree with Gears of War. I loved the first, but the other weren't as great as people make them out to be (I have the Seriously achievement, definitely not trolling).
TBH, I'd make it more fair and pick a game from each company.

I only played WoW for half a year, that was too many years ago.
Most people I knew had never played the RTS games before. I just don't think MMO games were made for story, so it couldn't be more incorrect (the authors assumption that they read into lore).
RPG players yes, but as soon as you add in that MMO element, you're dealing with a whole new crowd.
Like comparing Skyrim to Final Fantasy.

Absolutely agree. I was reading the comments, and thinking "what are these whiners whining about". I mis-read the score and thought it was 3.5/5. Lol. Couldn't have been more wrong.
People have been saying this for ages, that we should eliminate review scores that are much lower than the average. Why? Because if it is way lower than everyone else's (in this case, about 5/10 marks lower), then who is it helping...
I agree that JRPG's don't really innovate, but they aren't really supposed to. It is a very specific genre, and people will always love playing them.
That being said, how have shooting games innovated since doom? There are still many linear shooters with prettier graphics.
Forza and Gran Turismo have only improved. Unless you want a racing/fps/brawler.
Very excited. I am getting back into the JRPG mood. I only recently started Lost Odyssey and have almost finished it.
In anticipation of Ni Nu Kuni I am playing a lot of older ones.

And since when do MMORPG gamers spend more time learning the lore? That would be standard RPG gamers. WoW for instance, how many people who play it know about WC2 and WC3 lore? The majority don't.
I think the only real good point was multi-tasking. The rest are found in many other types of games.
They under-track anything.
They do under-track the PS3 console sales, but don't make it out as if this is some Microsoft conspiracy. They under-tracked Halo 3 sales by a couple million at one stage. They also counted the shipped numbers of UC3 (3.8 million) but then corrected it.
I'm just saying it does go both ways, before people try to jump on the tin-foil hat bandwagon.

Agreed. Can't stress enough how much I think they deserved it. I think a lot of people were on the fence about buying it, hopefully this spreads the word more and some other people get to experience it.

I'm hoping for a RAAM 2.0 as well. They tried to sell Skorge as a more badass RAAM, but it didn't work. RAAM would smack him down any day. He had the kryll.
After playing RAAM's Shadow DLC, I only hope I get to use something nearly as badass as him in Judgement.
All in all, I am not that excited TBH. I think I will be closer to launch, but I want to see how much it differs from Gears 3. Probably a day 1 buy, but I REALLY ...
It really depends on what the modders get up to I suppose. I think Crysis has the advantage, as anything with foliage gets a free pass almost.

One just needs to look at Naughty Dogs track record to understand the hype for this game. They haven't disappointed me yet.

Mass Effect 3: 8.5
Halo 3: 7
Heavy Rain: 4
Darksiders 2: 6
Those are all below the average review score for those games. The Heavy Rain review is 5/10 marks lower than average. I can safely say at least that one is retarded.
