yeah pretty dead on. as an adult gamer they have nothing to offer me. i want gameplay, graphics, blood and the ability to kill people online easily along with a selection of different types of games to do it, for example gears of war and call of duty 4 or halo3, all have to played differently even though at the root of it you are shooting people.
you fanboys don't pay attention do you. he asked if it played DVDs as in movies which it does not do. alot of people use game systems to play movies, i seriously doubt many ps3 owners have other blu-ray players outside of their ps3, heck i have never owned a dvd player, i have always used game systems (xbox, ps2).

let me tell you about the first time i get one of those letters (if it starts oct 1 i should get one starting november :-) ) i am going to dump their ass. what total BS, i pay for internet access, not x gig of internet access.
i think some games tend to be more viable on certain platforms, for example RTS i would still rather play on the pc but sports games,raching and even FPSs are in the console now. i used to believe that a mouse and keyboard and a couple of nvidia cards would woop anyone with a controller on FPS games however after playing alot of FPS games on the consoles the last year i truely think controllers are even par if not a wee bit better.
generals was great if you could get past the bugs at launch. a generals 2 that isn't as buggy would be awsome!
does anybody else see this as pathetic,,, eww we have 3rd party games that sold 400k. they have the largest install base and the best they can muster is 400k.. how many copies of COD4, GTA4, Madden etc.. heck there are probably XBL and PSN arcade games that have done better than 400k. i think this reinforces the fact that 3rd party games don't do well, first of all talk about PR spin machine,,, lets not forget that nintendo counts wii sports as a sold game so automatically they get 10million+...
first of all i clicked on this article because of the picture.
but R&D is a non stop cycle, both MS and sony started work on new consoles as soon as the 360 and ps3 launched. but nintendo has a different problem than MS or sony,,, the wii is a gimick and nintendo is now out of ideas for any more gimicks and we have already seen the best of what the wii can do.

i always thought one of nintnedos problem is the fact they can't get over their first 3 consoles. they keep rehashing the games from that era, mario this, zelda that etc... etc.. they can't come up with anything new, now with the wii their new IP games are lame, wii music, wii sports (come on it is a bunch of mini games i am talking full on worth the price games ala call of duty 4 types). every time they need a new game to come out, hell lets put mario in this or in that rinse lather repeat. ...

am i the only one that noticed they gloated about the fact they have more shovel ware games than anyone else.

well both the ps3 and 360 have a ton of games that sell in the millions so their ratio of popular games vs total games is way better than nintendo... they were proud of the fact that almost all wii games suck.

the wii is good for children i will give it that. however one thing i have really enjoyed in 360 and ps3 games is they are really trying to incorporate a story into it to get you even more interested. nintendo games have no story they don't even try anymore, i mean how many times does mario need to resuce the damn princess. older gamers, those who are generally more "hard core", who grew up with mario look at it is as kiddie and kinda dumb now compared to what we get on other consol...
