its the zune hd, the spec are out on the web and they are very impressive, especially since it is supposed to pack a dedicated mobile video card by nvidia and an hdmi connector, it will also have an app/music store similar to the one on the iphone/ipod touch.
one of the roumors i read was that if you are in a wifi spot you can set the device to pull music over the internet from your home pc. pretty cool.
i have been running win 7 RC for a week now. pretty good first impression (even though i am running it on an old old machine). the more i am using it the more i am liking it.

i don't think they should release a console, if they want to make games focus on mobile gaming. who cares if it connects to itunes or ipod (alot of people hate itunes). it is supposed to be a gaming console and 3rd party support doesn't have the capacity to release games for another console. Apple couldn't make GAMES to compete with MS or sony so the other option is a cute white console that plays music and has shovel ware for games. a GAME console should have fun games first and other featur...

yes i have actually, iphone and the blackberry storm (storm lasted 2 days, talk about crappy) palm os (treo 700p). don't get me wrong i am in no way defending winows mobile and to be honest the reason i carry that phone is because work pays for it and at&t sucks. first of all windows mobile 5 and 6.1 devices have this already, well a good part of it, it is called voice command and it works surprisingly well. the winmo 5 device i had sucked to so bad i started using voice command because it was only damn thing that worked reliably. you press a button and say "call bill gates" or "open internet explorer" etc.. and it does it perfectly the first time 95% of the time. you don't need to shout at the phone or raise your voice, it is surp...
to all the haters out there i doublt you have played the halo 3 multiplayer for any length of time. bungie keeps new maps, rotations coming and with forge you can pretty much build whatever you want to play on. on top of that the game is excellent, lag is very rare, controls are spot on playing with friends is easy. it is a fun and challenging not frustrating and annoying (looking at you gears 2) experience to play halo 3 multiplayer. in other words it is nearly perfect in terms of game play....
this looks awsome. MS has a chance to make a real difference here. and nothing says "look out mobile gaming we are here" like a halo mobile game. the mock ups of the device look nice also. an HD screen would be icing on the cake.
BTW i agree, converting movies to fit the zune is the pain, it can be done but it takes forever, i hope they fix that also. as long as MS does not change the UI, just tweak it. the zune UI has always been superior to the ipod.
the worst thing about madden is that it actually somehow gets worse every year and they NEVER fix the bugs and glitches. You can set a clock on madden, exactly 10-14 days after it comes out you will have a hard time playing a fair game against someone else because everyone finds the bugs and glitches by then and starts cheating, and EA never fixes them.
i agree, i am using xp at work but have vista, win 7, and linux machines at home. when i come to work i have gotten to the point i can't stand xp. in terms of usability i have really gotten to like vista and love win 7. i will work all night at home and come to work frustrated by the fact i can't just hit the windows key to bring up the start menu and type the first few letters of the program i want and hit enter, in xp i have to go find it where vista/7 the search bar in the start menu is so...
after testing out win 7 and the latest RC1 build (7048) i think in 3 years people will be more in love with windows 7 than they were xp. it is definitly better and more customizable than vista, and yes it is speedier on the same hardware. What bothers me are the people who complain about the fact vista doesn't run well on their 7yr old hardware. how quickly they forgot how badly xp ran on their hardware that was supposed to run win95. the last ace combat had amazing graphics but the online dog fights were pretty lame, it was near impossible to shoot someone down unless it was the canyon level.
yeah this is their last chance with me. i have been playing gears 2 online since release and outside of a couple of horde matches (most people quit at round 8 WTF?) it has been very frustrating. i put it down when quake live came out. it is nice to play a game that is fair to everyone. i will try gears 2 when this update comes out, it will either be good and i will play it until ODST and COD 6 comes out or i won't ever play it again.
if you can get in, it is awsome. it is like riding a bike only took me about 15min before i was fragging away like i used to. let me tell you it really made me think to, how nice and fun games were when it was you and a gun, no melee, no reloading, NO LAG, no 4 button combinations and perfect gameplay. it is a blast.
