And that is the reason why Id got sold. Game development at this level costs a lot of money and the "when it's done" mentality doesn't save the company's money.

I think one player on Diablo 3 general chat said it best: "Diablo 3 is an Auction House with a mini game attached for when you get bored(sic)".

Kripperian, the person who claimed to have finished Diablo 3 Inferno on hardcore first, announced today that he is moving on to other games. He is one of the most fanatical Blizzard/Diablo fanboys out there. This just shows the state of Diablo 3.

Regardless, people must understand that Diablo 3 is not an MMO...

By the time BF4 comes out and you're sitting in an empty BF3 server you'll think: "I totally didn't waste my money! EA will never con me!"

Ooh, these idiots who willingly splooged out cash for BF3 Premium must feel like morons now.

If Nintendo is worse than Activision, does that make EA worse than Nintendo?

That is game journalism as it stands and I don't like it either. I feel the same way about Battlefield 3, it was a mess at launch but it got praised everywhere.

I agree that D3 is a solid 8. I just hope it'll improve over time with patches and maybe an expansion.

Then again, a patch won't remove the offensively bad dialogue, such as making Leah STFU. :)

Diablo 2 when it came out was a buggy mess, it received 8.3/10 at IGN and just wasn't as good as people might think.

After patches and the Lord of Destruction expansion pack things changed dramatically, with the addition of rune words and world events. I played it to death again 2 years ago on battle.net.

In Diablo 3 I have two lvl 60 characters and I've met some awesome people as well. After hitting the brick wall called Inferno difficulty though, I ...

Unreal Engine is not only a graphics engine, but a game development suit. Indie devs can easily pick it up and make a 2D game if they wish.

It's only held back by Nvidia's PhysX, since developers can't assume everyone has a Nvidia card.

CryEngine: it only seems like Crytek and some other company actually knows how to use it or the licensing must be through the roof.

Here is food for thought: What about the guy who buys BF3 in the future, will he also have to pay a big sum of money extra to get the expansions?

Logically they'll release a BF3 complete pack, but they can't make that overly expensive. Won't they ever make the expansions cheaper?

Why not just make BF3 core F2P? That'll increase the amount of players who can pay for the expansions or premium.

Or the expansions are complete shi...

E3 left me underwhelmed, the prize for "winning" E3 is therefore a $10 gift voucher to an adult store.

Sorry, I can't take you seriously when you come across as vindictive.

DailyTech: "The report claims that in 2009, 43% of the software on computers around the world was pirated, up from 41% the previous year. Of the $50.4 billion in losses attributed to piracy globally."

I know many PC gamers who hasn't bought one single PC game in their entire lives. On the one hand DRM is killing PC gaming, and on the other we have the pirates. Between a rock and a hard place indeed.
