I really liked this article, good read. Anybody who thinks this is a troll article didn't read it, clearly. It's about Sony as a business with all it's facets(not just the console division).

Just point four I disagree with mildly. I agree that Sony is known for it's high quality products, but maybe it's because of the country I live in, but people don't see why they have to pay more for a Sony product. Most of the time people will just go for the che...

The word actress is used very loosely here.

I am one of the few who really like the patch and I think Alan Kertz and his team did a great job.

Suppression is a over-reaction and he admitted that, atm if you have a LMG on a bipod and you are suppressed(by a sniper who isn't even aiming at you), the recoil and spread becomes absolutely crazy.

The balancing of the guns have gone a long way. Pre-Patch (at least on the PC) Most people ran around with the PKP, AEK and M16A3. Now you at least see a bette...

In the olden days, licensing the UE2 cost about $750k. These days, if it is a big budget game, then you can negotiate with epic. If would guess it would be between $500k and $1mil, but I have no evidence to back that number up.

5/10 should be average, neither good nor bad, just average. But for some reason, a discrepancy exists in game review scores. I would consider 7 or 8 out of 10 to be the average these days(though it should not be), most people wouldn't even consider buying a 7/10 game.

Example: If Halo 4 came out and got 7/10, N4G would be up in arms, fanboys would go on about how rubbish it is. If the next Star Trek movie receives 7/10, people would consider it a good score.

Let me see if I can remember Pride and Prejudice...
Elizabeth sees Mr.Darcy and thinks he is a complete cock, which he is. Then she sees his huge castle(not referring to his dick) and she becomes wetter than the Atlantic ocean and she falls in love. THE END.

I hope gaming doesn't produce something like that :P

Seriously though, if someone can do it, it would be Quantic Dream.

Clicking the agree button wasn't enough, so I would like to say that I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Funny that every 14 year old seems to be an expert in art these days. Anybody who fashions in interest in art, go to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy and research the topic for a year or two.

Great story Ninja Theory, now ruin the DMC franchise and go bankrupt, thank you.

What is it with "dying" articles these days? Is gaming journalism dying? Nope, it's already dead.

Every time I see Jaime Pressly, I think of My Name is Earl and all the times she says "you dummy!" and I start laughing. Well, hot as hell, but that's like saying Silent Hill Homecoming is a shit game.

Lol! Best thing I've read in a very long time! I agree with you totally. Valve believes they can get away with murder, and they usually do, like that $99 ring they sold on Team Fortress 2 that does nothing.

Later on their PR department will have to spin like Taz when they lose their fans bit by bit.

I didn't mention graphics in anything I wrote. A engine comprises out of many aspects, such as animation, physics, rendering techniques, sound any many many other features. The Source engine revolutionized the way physics and facial animation could be used in a game, so much so, that it raised the bar for FPS's to come.

If they create HL3 for the next-gen or higher up PC's, the engine may be updated to include new ways to raise the bar gameplay wise, again.

I agree with the article, because we only have two options:

1. Half Life 3 gets released now on the current Source engine, which is a bit updated from HL2's day, but nothing spectacular.

2. Wait until the next generation, where the Source engine would be updated significantly, where HL3 could be as revolutionary as HL2 was back when it was released.

(3. Bonus option would be Valve licenses CryEngine 3 or something else, which will never h...
