I've hit max level on the 360 Beta, 360 Demo, PC Demo and now the PS3 Demo--the ps3 version runs terribly.

This offer is only valid in the US anyone.

'Cause you know, the US is the only country to exist.

Prey was one of the first 360 games I attempted a 1000.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS. THANK YOU JESUS.

I agree, sales are important when deciding on sequals, but I still don't think Wake's failure was marketing.

IMO, the 360 market just isn't interested in cerebral story-telling experiences. They like their Halos, Gears and buying avatar clothes.

To go one step further, I'd argue titles like Alan Wake would do very well on the PS3 (see: Heavy Rain.)

I wouldn't say BLOPS is a disaster, but you raise a good point.

I'm sure Homefront's single player is on part if not better than BLOPS--yet it gets burned for it.

Dude, you are one weird kid.

Alan Wake was a great game on it's own anyway. We as gamers shouldn't need marketing shoved down our throat to buy good games. Homefront will flop because it's simply average.

I do agree with you, but THQ shouldn't have put all their eggs in one basket. Look at Square-Enix, they're trying to take on the American market by spreading across of number of solid-looking games like Just Cause 2, Deus Ex, Dungeon Siege, etc.

Plus, the shooter genre is hard as hell to bust into if you don't have the graphics or ground-breaking multiplayer.

That's close to a 32GB iPhone 4 without a contract. I don't see what the big deal is. You guys do understand most people get phones with contracts at like $99-$199.

Maybe GameStop will crush the trade-in-value for the first month, discouraging this.

Big Dungeon Siege fan, and Chris Taylor to an extent...'cept he's not doing this one.

These sites use numbers sold. MS uses numbers shipped--ie. they assume they'll all be sold.

The 'news' piece is a couple sentences long. Shorter than some comments. wth?

While they're both achievement-based systems, trophies and achievements treat it differently. Trophy's are the more effective system in both reward and skill-gauging.

As I said earlier:
Trophies: Tiered rewards with a level-up system.
Achievements: +X amount of points.

I'm always surprised when people say they're different in name only.

Trophies are a much better reward system, and are better at quickly gauging a gamers skill. Everyone knows that.

Achievements: +X amount of points.
