Oh Activision, why don't you go away for a couple of years and have good hard think about what you are doing. Let's face it, you don't need the money.
Here's a starting point for you, TRY SOMETHING NEW and PUT SOME EFFORT IN.
Jack Tretton, I thought you were better than this.
My opinion:-
Hackers are fine in their own home on their own hardware with their own software (made their own software), but when it starts to affect other people not involved or not interested, then that sure as hell is not fine.
Pirates on the other hand are just a pain in the arse to any media outlet, hard to deal with and definitely should not be encouraged.
Very good point, but I fear they may not be grown up enough to care.
For a change, that was funny.
Good memory, I tip my hat.
I read this on the official PS forums and sums up my thoughts exactly:-
"To reference an earlier post, they are happy to bleat on about freedom of information, as long as the information is what they want people to see. Hypocrisy at it's highest level.
They claim to be freedom fighting someone who broke the law - is jail braking not illegal because it either uses or enables the use of pirate material? Pirate material can and does cripple producers o...
Researcher needs to be fired!
Grow up Loner, if this happened to Live I'm sure you would be the first to brandish a pitchfork and start hunting down hackers.
Edit: So, some childish amoeba wants to ruin online gaming for me and I'm supposed to sit back take it. You sir have got serious issues.
The term fanboy is used too liberally in my opinion.
I've been branded a fanboy for disagreeing with somebody spitting false claims. With that kind of mindset going on, a cure will be impossible to find.
@VINNIEPAZ
You obviously didn't read the rest of the article, which was obviously brown nosing Microsoft.
Besides, why would a known elitist Xbox fanboy like Loner submit anything that is not pro Microsoft?
Is the author blind to the fact that there are still a substantial number of people in the world that do not like or want iOS devices?
Why is it always "potential" with Kinect?
I get the feeling that developers aren't quite sure what can be done with it, in a new groundbreaking sense I mean.
Hmmm! They say they are crusading to get Linux back, yet it was their activities that got it removed in the first place.
They also claim that all they want is the ability to run homebrew, yet it was already enabled with Linux.
So it's clear that while they were hacking when Linux was enabled, they must have been up to something undesirable.
Aah I see someone misinformed as usual.
Coming from you, who is more attached to Microsoft than your own skin?
Oh! I'm in tears from laughing.
Mock all you like, just makes you look more of a dick.
You crave attention, but you can't take criticism, can't have one without the other.
What's with all the Kinect talk on here, this is about software which would run with any computer connected camera.
I've been gaming for over 30 years, violent or otherwise, and I don't remember killing anybody.
This blaming video games for coincidently common problems with society is getting very tiring now. There is usually something wrong with murderers to start with, which could be triggered by anything.
Now if a child is playing excessively violent video games, then yes it could lead to problems in the future. Shouldn't this be put down to bad parenting. W...
And there lies the problem that is eating Activision from the inside out, all they care about is profit, profit and profit.
Yes, businesses exist to make profit, but when that is your entire focus, which is the case when investors are involved, then that company can only end badly. What I mean is, when a company loses sight of customer and staff satisfaction, that customer and staff base inevitably decide to go elsewhere.
The hierarchy of Activision are going...
So let me get this straight, Sony are evil for protecting their products?
I assume you would prefer your online gaming full of cheats, untested and unauthorized modifications and PSN full of viruses?
I agree that OtherOS removal is a sore point, but hey, blame the hackers if you want to go nuts, I'm sure Sony didn't take that decision lightly.
