Joy! Got mine.
Clearly for the author it did, and he was there.
My question is, were you?
I wouldn't say they are crap, just too similar across the franchise and too short.
"I'm not saying we've quite got that yet but we're certainly getting towards that. I think mixing things up with emotional gameplay and mixing things up with the way you play and the feeling of connections and Kinect..."
Have I read this correctly? Is he saying that you need Kinect for a game to feel fresh? Corporate brainwashing at it's finest.
If he's not worried then he's a monumental idiot.
Are you sure you know what socialist means?
Well done, *slow clap* only 6 months late.
If average games appeal to me then possibly.
Bad games, hell no!
A handful of trailers are not going express what a game is really like.
There is no overheating issue, do you believe everything you read on the internet?
Yes I have googled it and I noticed that every story was reported over 4 days in May and none since.
I've played this game for hours without overheating, yes, the fan runs excessively, but it does the same with Red Dead Redemption amongst other games, this could have been the catalyst for these stories.
Voice command has been done for years, it's not unique to Kinect.
If Bioware wanted to use voice command, it wouldn't be exclusive to Xbox 360, all you need is a voice input device all the rest is software driven. Besides, PS Eye has a 4 microphone array so it could easily be done on PS3, with the Eye or a headset. Same goes for PC with any device with a microphone you could plug in, Usb or mic/line in.
Until the iPad grows analogue sticks and Apple drop the price by at least 65% I don't think dedicated consoles have much to worry about.
Move was not a copy, although obviously it would seem that way. A tech demo of a device similar to Move was revealed as far back as 2001.
What I find a little annoying about Kinect is that it was hyped to be an industry changer, and in every article you read is that it has potential, while in the meantime it is proving otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for new things, but when it's all talk I'm not sold. At least with Nintendo and Sony they proved almost ...
@Anarki
With independent security companies involved with investigating the attacks, I'm sure we would have heard by now that Sony's security was not up to industry standard.
Every online company is at risk regardless of their security.
This was not about proving the effectiveness of Sony's security, rather an all out attack that would only end when significant damage had been done.
Another pointless article.
In short it says Nintendo innovates, Sony copies and Kinect has potential.
I can't even be bothered to argue.
Making up some worthwhile activities before declaring an attack on Sony is not going to help their reputation.
Attacking a company that provides entertainment and that only seriously pathetic individuals have a real problem with is still immature and pointless.
So what? It's a given that PC is gonna be better than a console, that argument is tired now.
It's less hassle to own a console, which is why so many do, why not let them have something to hope for. Yes, we will see improvements. How big? Who knows, depends on the talent. There is always a little something to squeeze out of a system, so, they maybe right.
Have you ever written code yourself? If you have you would know there are many different ways to g...
@washd123 (reply button wouldn't work)
It's plausible, did you not keep an eye on the evolution of games throughout the last 10 years of PS2?
How do you know a developer might not find a new way to use the Cell processor tomorrow? That's right, you don't.
Funny how the same topic emerges every year.
"We are discussing/considering dedicated servers"
Also funny how it's taking years to make a decision for consoles.
Seriously, does anybody at Fox News ever sit back and have a good, hard think about what they are reporting?
If it were true that violent video games triggered violent behaviour then we would be looking at a world with millions of incidents of the nature we have seen in Norway. Yet, we only see a handful, which is by no means acceptable, but certainly cannot be attributed to video games.
I've been gaming for 30 years, yet I find the thought of killing som...
