Voice recognition is not unique to Xbox or Kinect, it's been around for years. It's just not popular enough for devs to code.

Unnecessary change of subject there.

I'm well aware of the price difference, it's not what I was comparing.

Are you kidding me? If it's a viable alternative it will certainly have an impact, even if it's only a small one.

I think I need some toilet paper for my eyes after reading that load of crap, don't get me wrong, I'm hoping for GTA to be great because I'll be buying it anyway, but that article was just utter nonsense. It's going to be great because it's not a fantasy adventure, what?

Pathetic article, claims gamers losing interest in single player games and presents campaign percentages for games purchased primarily for multiplayer. Yeh! that showed us.

90% of my gaming is single player, while I'll turn to multiplayer occassionally I find it gets repetitive very quickly.

It hasn't done anything mind blowing for the Xbox yet, which is what it was intended for. There's no denying it's doing well elsewhere though.

Do we really have to keep hearing Kinect and potential in the same sentence all the time, it's almost as if nobody has a clue what to do with it. You'd think Microsoft would have known what to do with it during research & development, so twelve months after launch, there'd be the mind blowing hardcore gaming...

Careful, you are treading a thin line there, you could get burned at the stake for such heresy.

What you are suggesting is the ease of a console with the freedom of PC software, yes?

Let's pretend then that consoles have gone extinct and for all your big screen gaming needs you are limited to a PC, then what? You are then at the mercy of operating systems. Microsoft already have Windows, Google may be knocking on the door and Linux is not simple enough to install yet. So from the start you could say that you are then to choose from MS or Google, what's to stop t...

Ease of use, not everybody is clued up on navigating the pitfalls of PC building, buying or using. I know of many people who aren't even aware of the necessity of PC housekeeping let alone have the ability.

What a console brings is the ability to switch on and play. A PC on the other hand can operate on a switch on and play basis, but very often doesn't. A lot of people aren't interested in troubleshooting a problem on a PC.

If the consoles disapp...

In that case then, Dragon age is a TPS, GT5 is a RTS and BF3 is a flight sim.
