No, publishers are holding back the true potential of video games.
Probably won't be though will they? Let's be honest.
Hard to say, we already know that both will be much the same to develop for. Microsoft will lose the advantage they had as the PS4 was designed by developers. The difference will come with optimizing, the PS4 in theory will need less optimizing so therefore will cost less in time and money to code for, unless of course a game is developed on the Xbox and ported in which case I suspect there will be very little difference.
Gamers don't want to hear about a future without gaming, very poor attempt at defending Microsoft's suspected direction.
"Its the software development tools that are most important. Microsoft will always lead in that area as they are a software company at heart."
This will no longer be an advantage for Microsoft as the PS4 was designed by developers for developers.
I'm struggling to see how Microsoft can come out on top unless they are lucky. Kinect functionality has already been done on the 360, yes they did sell an awful lot of Kinects, but the question is how m...
@HyperBear
News 4 Gamers dude, no way in hell is a positive article going to make it here. That presentation was not for gamers.
You only get one chance to make a first impression, in my personal opinion Microsoft delivered a poor one.
It's about time politicians grew up and fought real issues instead of trying to appease their current favourite demographic or push their baseless ideas.
Haaaa ha ha ha ha!!!!..........Oh! he's serious?!!!
Typical politician, out of touch with the real world.
The way EA are trying their utmost to upset all their customers they may very well need the Wii U.
Bit of a rant, but had a good point. Then made the whole thing irrelevant with the last paragraph.
Trying to cater to a wider audience which isn't interested and alienating a core fanbase that is distancing itself further on a daily basis is what is wrong with EA. What's worse is they don't seem to get it either.
They need to leave the developers to make all the creative decisions and stop lapping up shareholders backsides.
Whilst I agree EA have some exceptional developers on their books that are able to do some spectacular things with the Star Wars franchise, I can't help feeling that it'll all be ruined by the interference that EA can't refrain from.
In the grand scheme of things does it really matter?
My first thought would be where is your brain? It's a FILM festival.
You are right, they are not forcing us to pay, but during the next EA or Activision board meeting I'll bet good money they'll take any acceptance of this model as a complete success and think about the next step to bleed us dry. EA already believe it's universally accepted.
It's fine and dandy for you if you don't mind, but many don't and are well aware that this will only lead to far worse practices. If you like your hobby as it is, then stand up and ...
Have you ever played a racer from scratch before? Your comment suggests otherwise.
The majority of racers start you at the bottom where you have to progress through vehicle types from slower to faster.
As always, it's a matter of personal opinion.
I appreciate there will be differing opinions, but the difference between 3/10 (Basically a steaming pile) and 10/10 (the pinnacle of gaming goodness) is monumental and makes no sense whatsoever.
Reviews are meaningless to me and have been for the duration of this console generation, but I am concerned for those who are influenced by them.
We are yet to see, very much doubt it though.
