chances are if youre using a ps3 for "supercomputing" (lol), why do you need to access psn? just dont update your "supercomputer" (again, lol) and you'll be fine.
in mgs's defense, i remember all the characters from metal gear, but i couldnt tell you ANY of the names of ANY villian from splinter cell. not busting on the game, SC have great gameplay, just not memorable characters. and the first MGS was just as insane as the newer ones. psycho mantis especially is nowhere near believable.
i think they have done a great job on this game. generally i like splinter cell, but double agent sucked balls. the only thing that kept me coming back was spies vs. mercs. but whats up with the gamestop commercials for this game? they make the graphics look like utter sh1t, which sucks cuz the graphics are pretty good. my girlfriend saw that advert and was like "thats the worst looking game i've ever seen". they did the same with bioshock 2 which looked way better than gamest...

i have a wii, and generally i like it, although i don't have many games. i like mad world, no more heroes is sweet, and my personal fave muramasa (one of the greatest games ever), but motion controls suck. like in no more heroes how you have to basically jerk off to charge the beam saber. that stuff sucks. id much rather dual shock it.
but on the same token, i read comments about gb being crappy, not playable, etc, talking about how the proton packs were so blurry, blah, blah, how can you play games in 576p. my comments werent about comparing two versions, it was about how gb ps3 was "so bad", well i played the ps3 version and thought it was great. splinter cell looks fantastic on my 46", i just thought some of these comments were definately hypocritcal. ghostbusters looked great, but again whos gonna play...
i agree 100%, but where was this logic, say, when ghostbusters came out on ps3 in, what was it, oh yeah 576p! and everyone said how inferior it was and how it would eat your babies if you left it alone in your house, but now that splinter cell is rockin the 576p, its all "i cant tell the difference between 576 upscaled and native 720" you could sure tell back then.
if hearing about ff13 makes you want to put a shotgun in your face, why did you click on a ff13 article? seems to me the best way to distance yourself from the game would be to not click through on ff13 related stories
cuz its not like any other developers had to ditch open world to make their game run on xb360. . . /looks at alan wake/. . . oh. . . right. . . i kid, i kid. whats with everybody whining about what ff13 "could have been"? to me, the game is fantastic. 360 or ps3 if you're a rpg fan, you owe it to yourself to at least check it out! the battle system is amazing

the lighting in the newer trailers is UNREAL! really shaping up to be one hell of a thrill ride. easily one of my most anitcipated games
its just a resolution drop. the game is exactly the same. everyone is acting like the 360 disc wil explode in the disc tray killing any small children in the room. again, i reiterate, its the same game! im almost 32 hours into bayonetta on ps3 and i love the game. does it run better than 360 version? no, but its runs well, and the game is still the same kick ass game. same with ghostbusters other than the lower rez, its the same game. ive almost platinumed it and really liked it. tha...

Contrary to popular belief, the reason most of the designers and developers at square enix got into the game business was to MAKE MONEY. crazy, i know! so you're right! lets boycott ff13 and every square game after it until stupid squareenix can learn to feed thier kids on something other than video game money.
