That suits me just fine. I have a backward compatible PS3 and I much prefer these HD collections over backward compatibility. PS2 games look like crap on an HD display.

Negative publicity is just as good as positive publicity. Extra publicity generally equals more sales. More sales equals more recognition for the developers. I don't see why they are letting the negative publicity get them down.
I am glad they are keeping the trophies in the campaign, with very little multiplayer trophies. I absolutely hate multiplayer trophies.
Multiplayer trophies cause people to play differently, and consequently remove any semblance of teamwork in an environment where teamwork is already rare. Multiplayer trophies also become impossible to obtain if dedicated servers get shut down.
Don't forget about the plethora of Activision peripherals that costs about as much as Kinect does.

What exactly is untrue about that? Sony stated that it is possible that some of the counterfeit controllers could ignite or explode. Considering how cheaply counterfeit electronics are made I suspect that there is a reasonable chance that Sony's statement is correct.
The firmware update kills counterfeit DualShock 3 pads from China. Sony released a statement about it.

If they were really sorry about it they would patch the cut content into the western release. If they don't do that then their expression of sorrow amounts to nothing more than empty words.
