Normal is the standard difficulty (which is what makes it "normal"). It is the difficulty by which everything should be measured. Hard is just there for people who want a greater than normal challenge.

Well this is rather pointless. First and foremost, the Brazilian court system has no jurisdiction anywhere else in the world. Secondly, the court can fine Rockstar $5000 per day until the end of time, but unless Rockstar has holdings in Brazil, they have no way of collecting the money.

I commend Bungie for honoring his request.

I want smarter AI. Calculating and tactial opposition is a hell of a lot better than perfect aim and grenade spamming, which is currently par for the course in harder difficulties.

Gran Turismo and Kinect represent two very different markets. I fail to see how either one would affect the other.

Edit: If you disagree then please give me a reason why. Gran Turismo 5 is an PS3 exclusive racing game (software), and Kinect is an Xbox 360 exclusive human interface device. Different consoles, different product types, one is a game you play, one is something you use to play games.

I can't imagine that many people, if anyone, would be on the...

Fun is subjective. My only qualm with arbitrary scoring is that there is no structure behind it. I realize that reviews are nothing more than opinions, but I think that professional review sites should have a structured system of measurement. I want consistency.

By the way, fun is covered under the "gameplay" score, not "lasting appeal".

By the reviewer's own admission the campaign is only 6-7 hours long, although many have claimed that it can be completed in 4-5. Granted the challenge stages will extend the game a bit, but with no multiplayer component I can't see how it gets a 7.5 in "lasting appeal".

By the way, IGN gave Medal of Honor a 7 in lasting appeal. How does a game with multiplayer get a lower score in lasting appeal than a game that has a 6 hour campaign and no multiplayer?

Ah but then we enter an infinite loop. If 10 is not allowed, because it represents perfection, then we would effectively be scoring on a scale of 1-9. With a scale of 1-9 a 9 would not be allowed because it would represent perfection, so then we must drop to a scale of 1-8, and so on and so forth. Eventually we would be dividing by zero.

Halo CE, Halo 2, and Gears of War are all available on PC. Kind of hard to be the "best Xbox exclusives of all time" if they are not "Xbox exclusives".

Also, none of those games are listed in the article. Four out of the five games on the list are not available anywhere except Xbox hardware, making them "Xbox exclusives". Mass Effect technically should not be on their list.

Your reasoning is flawed. No game is perfect, therefore a 10/10 could not possibly represent a perfect game.

How exactly would they make a killing from that? What do they get in return for that 50% credit? GameStop deals in physical products, so they get something in return for the credit they give you. They get a product that they can sell for a profit. Valve deals with digital products. They don't exactly have a shortage of executables.

"The Glutton" is the most accurate stereotype for me.

I will play pretty much everything, although I don't really care for licensed sports games or rhythm games.

I own 2 out of the 3 consoles.

I have a sizeable game library, including several titles that I have not touched yet, let alone completed.

I really don't understand fanboyism.

I do like to be well informed about my hobby of choic...

People who obsess over sales are just seeking validation from the masses. It makes them feel good to know that they are doing what everyone else is doing. Of course this statement does not apply to people who actually benefit from sales, such as publishers and investors.

It is rather pathetic when you think about it, that so many people require validation from others.

That is a rather illogical statement. If no game should ever be awarded 10/10 then there would be no point in having a 10 point scale in the first place. Games would have to be rated on a 9 scale, but then you would say that no game deserves a 9/9 as well.

10/10 does not mean a perfect game. I think that is the flaw in your reasoning. You believe that 10/10 represents perfection, which is unobtainable.

Any ending that does not involve a slow and painful death for Trip is not an ending worth watching as far as I am concerned.

Disclaimer: I have not played the game yet. The above statement reflects the opinion I adopted after completing the demo. I am not particularly fond of Trip.

Isn't Talim like 15? Obsessing over virtual females is one thing, but obsessing over virtual jailbait is quite another.

I wish more games had co-op. It is my favorite way to play. Honestly it does not make much sense for a military shooter to not have a co-op mode. The military does not send out lone wolves. They send teams. Even snipers work in pairs.

The interesting thing about that statement is that, because the Heavenly Sword IP is owned by Sony, Heavenly Sword 2 could still see Nariko playable in Hell.

Where Heavenly Sword 2 is concerned, Ninja Theory is not really relevant.
