And they even fumbled that for about 6 months after launch, loads of bugs and the multi-player was near unplayable for a good while.
The idea isn't to prove whether or not it will effect Sony, it's to determine just how much it would effect them. Microsoft is hoping that it will show that Sony would be in a healthy position even without ActiBlizz games.
Yup its one of the most hyped games for this year, right behind Spider-Man 2 and Breath of the Wild 2.
It was a step in the right direction, only because they finally started listening to the fans and decided to look back at what made Halo great and started making a halo game instead of trying to copy features from other popular shooters like supply drops from COD or The Mantis that was probably added because of Titanfall.
@Orchard
Reach was still good imo, it was the last Halo game that I enjoyed. Bungies worst has outshined anything 343 has done.
I'm just not a fan of the exploration in these latest games.

They acquired 3 companys that same year. It is normal of businesses to do this, they care little for the people under them.
Hate to see people lose their jobs. When the WiiU flopped the executives at Nintendo decided to take a 50% pay cut to avoid laying off employees. We need more companies doing that, the people in charge should be paying for bad management and not the people under them.
@GotGame
By that logic, all handhelds are hybrid as there is a way to out to TV for all of them. I guess since I can hook a PS5 and Series X up to a battery and monitor to make it portable, they must be handheld hybrids too. /s
COD may very well stay multiplaform and maybe others, but not all these games will stay multiplaform.
A lot of gamers prefer physical games and a lot don't like the idea of a always online system that relys on internet connection. Google should had just saved themselves some trouble and canned the thing after seeing tons of negative public opinion before the thing was even released.
Lol you guys kill me. Something happens that you don't like and then there's a conspiracy behind it. The majority of the public are fine with the deal, guess Microsoft must of paid them off too.
I enjoyed Dead Space, but I didn't replay it 6 times like I did RE4.
"Spider-Man 2 is only on PS5"
They said the same thing about the last one and look how that went.
If you enjoy looking like a hypocritical fanboy, then I guess not.
Lol look at those disagrees. People here don't have a sound opinion on the matter, they'll condemn the action when one company does it and then try to excuse the hell out of it when their preferred company does it.
COD is already a Gaas, they have a f2p battle royal game and sell a yearly game for $70 then sell you a battle pass on top. Microsoft have Gaas games, but they haven't been near as greedy as ActiBlizz has with COD or Overwatch.
You're trying to differentiate the acquisition to make it seem more different than what it is. Sony bought Psygnosis because of the Lemmings IP being one of the highest selling games of the time, selling 20 million copies and also for the talent behind it. Sony didn't just buy them to use them as developers and MS isn't just buying ActiBlizz for IPs, as you stated, Sony and MS did it for both. The only difference here is scale.
How are they wrong?
Awesome. I'll probably be playing it on the Switch due to it having online multi-player, where the Xbox version does not.
