Meh half of it is luck. Try pull that of and majority of the time you wont get the hit. I hit a good few people with snipers from the parachute insertion on Port Valdez in BC2, a lot of the time down to luck. Still a very nice shot though!

Campers and retards who dont play the objective, who are only concerned with their K/D ratio are whats ruining this game. I fucking love BC2, the majority of people who played it worked their asses off to get the objectives, even in a squad of random people. I hate playing BF3 without my friends in my squad because most randomers in this game couldn't give two fucks about the objective. DICE should get rid of the K/D ratio stat for objective based game modes.
I played the first game again only recently. It still wipes the floor with modern fps campaigns. Absolutely brilliant game. Much preferred the first game to the second mind you. Thought the setting of the Black Mesa facility and all the different areas in it were brilliant.
I don't really get hyped about new IPs but this one has me drooling for the unveiling; and I don't know why. Maybe I ate a fungus.
Good idea but I would say only Sony would even consider this. Microsoft are very closed off in comparison.

It deserves a nomination but I dont think it deserves GOTY in my opinion. U2 was better overall but U3 did have moments where it outdid it. The story wasn't great, the graphics were amazing, the flow of the game was so repetitive as well, it drove me insane. Cutscene -> gunfight -> kill a few easy guys -> then throw in snipers -> then throw in a big armored guy -> then randomly have a 7ft retard fist fight you right in the middle of the gunfight... repeat process for who...
Who cares, anyone who uses metacritic for games knows that a bunch of immature trolls got onto it and brought the scores down. People with nothing better to do. MW3 has its fans and people only whine about it because its so successful. Human nature, people hate to see too much success.

Same as the laser now, that thing isn't half as powerful as the flashlight but they are still very useful especially when you get the sudden drop on someone. Other than that I hope they fix the mics on PS3 with the next update :)

The fact that you said "the story is irrelevant at that point" nullifies your argument. The gameplay is NOT finely tuned, you obviously haven't seen the ton of people complaining about the aiming (even if you can get used to it its not finely tuned)?
